Giraffe Coffee Bar & Academy — Restaurant in Rotterdam

A very funny combination of two types of specialty. This store is a delicious coffee shop and cycling specialty store at the same time. From super delicious cappuccino to special cycling suits and from a tasty cake or special coffee mash to good cycling glasses. We only came for the coffee and this made the combination even more special to experience. Very funny.

We had a cappuccino and flat white which tasted very good (fruity). Besides that we had a cinnamon roll and a chocolate cookie. These were good in taste.

The staff is very friendly and came (when we had already ordered) to ask if we wanted some water with a choice of flat or sparkling. And as we were leaving they also kindly said goodbye.

The place is nicely decorated inside. The coffee bar is in the middle of the place and, just like a cafe, you can sit at the bar and drink your coffee. For the rest, other seating and inside nice and colorful. The chairs you sit on are also nice and look nice.

Kwa music is just music on inside. When we were in the store there was a nice funky tune on in the background.

Everywhere a good place to get a good cup of coffee and sit down for a while. And if you like cycling, definitely...

The place was pretty spacious, they have outdoor seating but personally I prefer enjoying my sip of coffee indoor as there are much attractions inside. The store isn’t solely serving for the barista service, like most of the other coffee shop, they provide the option of purchasing accessories such as espresso machine, scale, you name it. Besides the coffee and accessory, what surprised me was the outlet of a cycling cloth brand NDLSS. Even though I am not a professional cyclist, I do cycle from time to time (I mean I live in the Netherlands right?). The concept of mixing up barista with the cycling lifestyle collection is interesting and you can felt the chemistry yourself while sitting inside the shop. I would recommend give it a go and try to take this experience. Furthermore, I am genuinely attracted by the outline of the NDLSS. Oh wait, I have to mention currently they do not offer complimentary wifi to the customers, just don’t upset yourself if you are trying to find a place to sit with your computer and connect with the rest...

Super super rude staff, very unpleasant experience. We sit down and my friend needed to jump right into a meeting so I went to order first. One of the female staff reminded him to order while he’s talking in the meeting. He said he would order after the meeting ends. However, to our surprise the staff came to interrupt again to request order. I had to ask her to come with me and I would order for him so that she’d stop interrupting someone in a business meeting. This is outrageous and very unfriendly. If the rule is to order before sitting down, please write down it somewhere. If not, please have some patience. 👎🏽
