Sadly disappointing. From the reviews and pictures I was expecting true Italian cuisine with apparently „homemade“ pasta. Once arrived and seated we waited quite some time to be served. The restaurant was full but its fairly small so that shouldnt be an excuse. I ordered the Rigatoni all’amatriciana which was severly disappointing. First of the pasta wasnt actually a true Rigatoni but more of a rigata stortini fusion which wasnt too bad but the sauce with guanciale instead of pancetta felt weird and wasnt as tasty as expected. Additionally it wasnt visually appealing at all and nothing compared what they show off on their website. As well as the cheese on top which was clearly not fresh but from a packet. My friend ordered the Carbonara which was roman but the cook burned the pepper so the dish was so outrageously bitter that it was fairly inedible. In general the pasta dishes just felt like a rip off especially for 15€!
To top that off the service and kitchen were struggling to keep a fairly small restaurant on top of the orders. Waiting 20min for a bottle of wine was a bit sad. In general very disappointing experience dont think we...
Read moreThe food is absolutely amazing! As soon I have tried the pasta I could feel that was homemade! I have tried the most simple and difficult dish in the menu: spaghetti al pomodoro and they were absolutely amazing!!!! As starter we had burrata and pomodorini qnd bruschette, the burrata was fresh and delicious the bruschette, senza infamia ne lode! The other people at the table got the spaghetti with funghi and tartufo and spaghetti alle vongole and they were absolutely amazed on how good they were! As dessert we had cannoli and sgroppino, the cannoli were really delicious!!! 1000 points for this Italian restaurant who still offer to his guest a limoncello! The service was friendly and very polite but sometimes a bit chaotic, but was Saturday night so that can be also expected! The location is very small, well taken care and cozy! Unfortunately due to the small space and too people shouting was a bit overwhelming and sometimes a bit difficult to have a conversation without the need of shouting to eachother as well! I will suggest this place… I will go back for sure to taste their amazing...
Read moreThis place is tiny but absolutely amazing... It is a concentration of italian passion for food, for music, for love !! In two words : the good life !! The owner is a smiling musician from Puglia, the waiter from Roma, the cook I don't know but italian flame was in his eyes when he brought us his carbonara (definetely in my top five ever)... There is small terrasse for sunny days... and the rest of the restaurant is a few tables along the big bar :-) A piano and a nice sound system with a good italian playlist... I am so sad that I missed the owner moment of play. This place is very recent and I did read some controversial comments before mine... but believe me it is worth the visit. They will soon be listed in the top spots in Rotterdam !! And one last tip... try the arrosticino di pecora... If you like meat, you will be enchanted by these tiny sticks. I am from Lyon and this was my second restaurant ever in Rotterdam. No wonder how but I will...
