Sushi Company — Restaurant in Rotterdam

I have been in three other sushi places here in rotterdam and have been looking for real good sushi - by this I mean native quality like there is in the west coast of Canada or in Japan itself - that doesn't taste like it came from AH.

I noticed Sushi Company while cycling on my way home to kralingen. It is a very small restaurant and doesn't look like much, but nevertheless I gavve them a try and ordered from them their chef's selection.

The fish is expertly prepared and, for a delivery, the presentation was impressive. The wasabi was top notch and so were the chopsticks. There was one tempura fish nigiri and one or two seared fish sushi all of which were tastefully heated to an adequate temperature while not taking away from the taste of the fish. The classic sushi used really high quality tuna and salmon and the maki rolls were all also made with top attention to balanced taste employing various spices and flavours. All the fish flavours were really evident (and not salty like they sometimes are here in holland!) despite the fusion style and use of sauces.

I think from the quality of the fish and the proper composition of the rice, this is the best sushi place in Rotterdam.

I only deduct one star because the soy sauce was a bit too aggressively salty and detracted from the finer flavours, also it was slightly overpriced, but that is more or less forgivable considering how good it was.

I had a great experience with Sushi Company! The service was excellent, friendly and efficient. Ordering was super convenient and fast using the QR code system.
