In the heart of Rotterdam, Mecca Oasis is more than a brunch spot—it’s a peaceful escape. Inspired by the historic oasis of Mecca, this cozy eatery offers a place to relax, recharge, and reconnect, with a calm atmosphere perfect for leaving daily stress behind. Their menu includes savory dishes like pita, falafel, hummus, labneh, sabich, eggs, and fattoush, as well as delicious side dishes and sweet baked goods. Drinks range from signature beverages and aromatic coffees to refreshing teas, lemonades, and smoothies. Their Hummus & Eggs was a delicious surprise! It features two perfectly fried eggs on creamy hummus, seasoned with zaatar, dukkah, and sumac. The soft, warm sourdough pita is perfect for scooping up every bite as it's extremely fresh and hand-made. The combination of flavors is amazing, with earthy zaatar, nutty dukkah, and tangy sumac. The dish is extremely well-balanced! We also tried the Pita Sabich, and wow—it’s love at first bite! This sandwich is a masterpiece, with sourdough pita filled with yogurt-tahini, fried eggplant, boiled egg, pickles, fresh salad, amba, and zhoug. The flavors are bold and perfectly balanced, with creamy tahini, smoky eggplant, tangy pickles, and a spicy kick from the zhoug. It's so delicious, one of my favorite sandwiches! Their Labneh & Eggs, with two fried eggs, creamy labneh, spiced butter, zaatar, pomegranate, sumac, and sourdough pita was also a standout. The labneh was fresh and creamy, perfectly balancing the rich butter and tangy pomegranate. As for drinks, we tried the Dirty Kashmiri Chai and the Sesame Matcha Latte. The Dirty Kashmiri Chai blends traditional Kashmiri chai with a shot of espresso, creating a rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced flavor. The chai’s rosy notes and the coffee’s depth make it unique and satisfying. The earthy matcha and nutty sesame of the Sesame Matcha Latte gave it a smooth, savory twist that stood out from regular matcha lattes, it's tastes unique. We also tried some of their sweet bakes goods. As a fan of madeleines, the Pistachio Madeleine was a delightful surprise. These petite, shell-shaped cakes had the perfect balance of soft texture and buttery richness, enhanced by the earthy nuttiness of pistachio. Each bite was light yet packed with flavor, making it impossible to eat just one. Next, we tried the White Babka, a regular on Mecca Oasis’s menu. Made with white chocolate, tahini, and pistachio, it was both indulgent and creative. The babka was soft and fluffy, with creamy white chocolate and nutty tahini blending perfectly, while the pistachios added a nice crunch. Watching the bakers work in the open kitchen made it even more special and inspired us to try baking one ourselves! At last, we tried the Tahini Brownie with chocolate, tahini, and halva. It was rich and fudgy, with tahini and halva adding a unique twist to the classic chocolate flavor. Not too sweet, the sesame notes gave it a subtle, savory touch that made it stand out. We’ve been to Mecca Oasis many times, and it’s always amazing. The food is consistently great, and the quality never changes. The service is friendly and welcoming, making it a place we love coming back to. Mecca Oasis is a standout in Rotterdam, offering great food, creative drinks, and a cozy atmosphere. From savory dishes to sweet treats, every visit feels special. Their consistent quality makes it a must-visit spot for an unforgettable brunch experience. It’s more than a meal—it’s a place to enjoy and keep coming back to.

Came here yesterday after hearing good things and the place was very busy upon entering. We managed to get a nice spot facing the window and the decor of the place was quite nice and cozy. We ordered two cappuccinos which were delicious and had good latte art. For food we ordered the hummus & eggs and the pita fried eggs. The hummus dish was delicious as it tasted so fresh and was also filling. The pita fried eggs was also very good however it could have used more veggies and runny yolks as it did get quite dry after a few bites. The staff was really friendly and attentive so I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants good food and drinks.

Mecca truly is a hidden gem in our Rotterdam. A very original and creative menu! Their white babka bun with white chocolate, tahini and pistachio is a delight. But, oh my, I developed a profound love for the kashmiri chai: a chai latte with green tea, spices and rose petals. (Vegan option with oat milk possible). The falafel bowl is a flavour explosion party: excellent falafel with crunchy exterior, wonderful homemade hummus, fresh pickled greens, and a small fatoush salad. (I had the vegan version with another sauce, great!). I know for a fact that they freshly bake their own pitas! Dear Mecca, I will be back.

We came and wanted to sit outside. Despite the fact that there were several empty seats on the veranda, we were told to wait, explaining this by the fact that other visitors are waiting for seats too. Although, there were at least 3 free tables, and just one couple were waiting to sit. After 10 minutes they finally allowed us to sit. While I was reading the menu, the waitress approached me 3 times in 5 minutes, although I said that I needed a little more time to decide. When I have finally decided, and it was obvious that I was waiting (I was sitting and looking around), the girl who served us passed by 5 times, and in the end came up only after 15 minutes. However, it turned out that they can't do the dish I wanted to order because they've run out of pitas. Why hasn’t she told it at once? I don’t understand. On short, the service was terrible. None of the staff answered to my greetings, words of thanks and buy. The food was really delicious but, to be honest, after all the above, the desire to return and try something...
