Wawburger — Restaurant in Rotterdam

TLDR: its mcdonalds but worse. Just go to a generic chain with standards instead.

Unhygenic food and environment, staff appear overworked. Bathroom is barely functional and falling apart.

Ordered spicy wings, and all of them, without exception were extraordinarily covered in chicken hairs. None of them were properly singed before cooking.

Furnishing was torn (particularly sofas for seating have butt-sized tears in them), scattered and chaotically organised. Flooring and surfaces were sticky.

The bathroom was pushing the limits of what a functuonal bathroom is; it had only one out of two stalls with a functioning lock. The functioning stall had no tissues available. The soap dispenser was broken off the wall and unusable.

Staff appeared overworked, exhausted and tired. It seems to be a management issue at this place.

The only thing it has going for it is the style of furnishing and lighting seeming to be on a higher standard of dining, which quickly falls apart minutes after you collect your order.

I'd give the food quality a 0/5 if i could. Staff were indifferent about the hygiene issues with the food so 1/5. Atmosphere could be better if the restaurant was properly cleaned and...

I recently discovered this place. I was very surprised by the price we paid. In total €18 for two burger. One being the BBQ bacon burger and the other one was the Classic Waw Burger. The place definitely does jot match the place. I believe this is real fast food priced menu, but the place could easily be considered a decent more fancy place. So if you want to eat burgers, for an affordable place, ut don't want the whole typical fast food vibe, this is an alternative to McDonald's and Burger King. The menu and their online memu is very handy, because you an see exactly what you are ordering.

About the service: I must say there is a small interaction when ordering, but the questioning of your order is so well structured that it makes it easy and pleasant to order. You receive a red lamp thing that tell you when your order is ready, which is noce, because you don't have to stand by the side for your order .

About the place: as I said, it is very spacious, nice ambiance and the decor is fancier than your typical fast food chains.

I'm not a big fan of fast food burger chains, so I usually avoid them. But I was actually surprised by the flavour and juiciness of their burger. I had a double bacon burger, which is basically the double classic burger topped with bacon. The only improvement I would like to see is a roasted bun, but that's personal. We went there with our kids around lunchtime, and we found ourselves in a completely deserted place, accept for the personal, while across the street people were lining up to get a burger at Mcdonalds. Personally, I think the Mcdonalds burger patties taste like shoe soles, so I would like to recommend everyone to try out the Wawburger for a change. Just know I gave them 5 stars for their tasty fast food burger only. It's not comparable to a freshly made restaurant quality burger.
