We attended the Sagopa Kajmer concert and also had tickets for the after party, so we bought two separate tickets in total. The artist I was looking forward to seeing was on stage for less than an hour, but still, it was nice to listen, sing along, and share the moment with an artist we love.
However, after the concert ended, there were very few people left, and even though there were plenty of empty seats, we were told to get up from where we were sitting—twice. My sister was tired, so she had to sit on the stairs while we waited for the after party. Then, we were told we couldn’t sit there either.
The staff’s attitude was absolutely terrible; no customer should be treated that way. In a nearly empty venue, being forced to move from our seats felt completely unfair. The party, scheduled between 11:30 PM and 5:00 AM, was almost empty, and most areas were roped off as “VIP,” not allowing anyone in. It wasn’t lively at all, so the after party ticket ended up being a waste. The staff really need to learn to speak to customers more politely.
The venue itself had a nice atmosphere, but the organization was weak, and we couldn’t see any other positives. Still, after such a long time, it made us happy to be at Yunus Abi’s...
Read moreWorst club experience i've ever had! The arrangement of the club itself was very unhandy: the dance-floor being in the middle of the room, whilst being surrounded by stairs everywhere! It was impossible to walk normally due to the many stairs.
That aside, what made this night the worst club experience i've ever had, was because every single one of the personnel (including security guards, wardrobe service, bartenders and even lavatory attendants..) treated us like insignificant 'animals': being pushed, pulled and screamed at seemed perfectly normal to these employees. After persevering in this unpleasant atmosphere for about 2 hours -patient I must say-, my friends and I really could not stand it any more after being pushed away by a guard for the 40th time or so that night.
I highly advise people: do NOT go to villa thalia if you're hoping for a great night out with friends! Instead, I highly recommend other clubs in Rotterdam.. there are plenty of clubs where the service is great,...
Read moreThe club has a good atmosphere, but what is a good atmosphere without a good music. My only bad review for Thalia will be Improvement on the kind and choice of music. The world is moving forward in entertainments, better to always bring DJ's that are diversified in their kind and choice of music, get more evolved, look beyond the kind of music you like, look what people are currently listening to, look what music is popping in the world at the moment, and don't stay stuck to one kind and set of music like we are in the 90s, this is Internet world, Your Djs play like that they don't have internet or never use internet... For a night club, Good music should be a priority, don't take this review as critic but as recommendation for improvement... Also note I am not judging from attending Thalia just one time, I have been there multiple times and anytime I go there I am not surprise with the...
