Steak & Bier — Restaurant in Rotterdam

Waw waw waw! I'll just give my 5 star review for this restaurant! 😍💜 Everything was so nice!!

My friend and I went for the all-you-can-eat spare ribs. Absolutely delicious, super good price and always warm and fresh. It was a sunday, so we payed I believe 22,95 p.p. (I need to check this).

The staff was super attentive, came often to check if everything was okay. Only the lady that came to take our order first was not very friendly or had the ebst costumer service warmth (everyone is different and may have different opinions). So it did not start very nice. We were also very close to a table of four. Which limited my movement. Later a group of ladies came to sit right next tu us (even less space). But they were talking very loud, laughing (which is totally fine 🙂 😄) and taking lots of selfies and videos for Instagram. This last part was fine, I just felt and saw the bright selfie light on us and made me very uncomfortable. Luckily it was almost the end of our dinner. We wanted to stay for more drinks, but I started feeling anxious and very stressed. So we left earlier to have some drinks somewhere else. The restaurant can't do anything about this maybe. But, I don't think that a table for two between two table for four was the best idea.

Overall is this definitely a place I want to go back. Maybe I'll just try to choose a better table.

We decided to try this place after passing it so many times, but unfortunately, it disappointed us hugely. We were not welcomed after entering while the waitress gave us vacant stare behind the bar. After a while when we were about to leave a gentleman directed us to our table. After being seated, we had to wait 15 minutes to get our drinks order taken, and again 20 minutes for our food order. Receiving little attention from the staff is an understatement at this place. To top it off, the waiter forgot the order and we waited 30+ minutes for our steaks (requested for medium rare, but received medium - welldone). As a kind gesture, the restaurant offered us complimentary nachos; however, not surprisingly, this was also very disappointing as it was Doritos out of a bag. In conclusion; I will...

Our impression of the restaurant does not exceed 3 starts , however the meal we had was delicious, therefore it’s 4.5 stars for us. We’ve got Angus Steak with butter & herbs sauce , French fries and Calamari. All tasted well and exactly how it supposed to. There is no real restaurant experience or dining , but a great stop for good quality food in the center of Rotterdam. We’ve also had a draft local wheat beer , which tasted delicious. We have mixed feelings about service as we had two waiters : one absolutely cheerful and willing to help , another one didn’t pay too much attention to us.
