Updated review: January 2025 * I Got Food Poisoning at Melange* I returned to Saint Martin this year and dined at Milan with a large party. Excited to show them the table side grill menu options. In the past, when I have dined here the restaurant has done a great job to bring out the pre-cooked meat options and allow guests to finish cooking off at the table according to their own liking with the exception of chicken, which must come fully prepared for the grill. I was served raw uncooked chicken. I waited a few minutes after it was placed on the grill and ate it, not knowing that the center was raw on the kebab. I could not tell in the dim lighting with the color of the chicken was. Based on my past experience, I trusted that the chicken was already cooked a temperature before being brought out to the grill to be heated. An hour or two after dining I spent the rest of the night and early morning, vomiting and relieving my bowels with excruciating pain. Over 8 hours of nonstop vomiting. The restaurant did not even bother to follow up with me through their Instagram when I sent a message two days later post recovery. I spent the end of my trip in bed, extremely sick and weak. I would not recommend and would not return based on this experience.

The Teppanyaki Experience at Melange is a beautiful combination between entertainment and fine dining. With good quality ingredients being prepared right in front of you with flair, sounds and some jokes here and there it was lots of fun to see Miguel do his magic. The concept is that you first choose an appetizer from the menu. And afterwards your meal for the Teppanyaki which is cooked in front and each dish served with fried rice and fresh vegetables. Seeing him throw and turn the utensils makes it look so easy until he gives them to you to try 😅 Part of the show is creating a tower of fire right before the end, which is very impressive to see 🔥 We chose the Salmon and Steak, both were cooked to perfection and had a great taste. You could taste these were good quality pieces. Lastly you pick a dessert from the menu and the experience is complete. The one small sidenote I could give is that the wait staff could be more on top with the drinks at some times. Overall this is a great location to bring family or friends and it makes a super dinner for a special occasion up to 6 people. The pictures will show you all.

This restaurant was a real gem that we actually stumbled upon during our recent visit. Service was outstanding and the food was wonderful. I don't often eat filet mignon at restaurants other than steakhouses (they usually find a way to screw it up) but this was buttery tender like at a first class steakhouse. Very nice decor. Highly recommend.

Went for the amazing food, the combination of Brazilian steakhouse and Korean BBQ.... read the reviews, had the address, and let the GPS take my wife and I the entire way.... First off, the GPS didn't help us find the restaurant; It's located OFF Union Rd, almost at the end of the road, on the Princess Casino property. If you can't find it, just ask for directions to the Princess Casino. An hour later, through a rainstorm and traffic, we finally made it.

I wanted to order the amazing meat combo, and was willing to pay $40 for all you can eat. I wanted to get chicken tenders instead of wings (I'm not a big wings fan), but I was told I couldn't do that. Annoying, but understandable. Then I was told that I at least 2 people needed to order the combo, or else it couldn't be done. Nowhere on the menu did it say that. Since my wife didn't think she could eat $40 worth of meat, that killed my excitement. We both ordered a la carte, and the food was ok.

They also add a 15% service charge to every order. I can understand doing this if it's a hibachi style meal, where the food is cooked at your table, or if the restaurant is in the US, where the wait staff is underpaid by management and it's made up for with tips, but for a regular restaurant, this is insulting. The waitstaff was good (other than the food taking a while, and there were only two tables occupied while we were there), but a 15% service charge is simply a 15% upcharge to everything listed on the menu. It's insulting, especially for a "routine" dining experience.

The food was ok.... Will I be coming back...

Food was very ordinary. Ordered a la carte, not the grill menu. Appetizer was pepper corn cheese croquets. Nothing more than deep fried crumbed cheese paste. All you can taste is deep fried parmesan. Oddly, croquets were served on cold raw carrot slices. Chose a main course of Filet Mignon with Red Wine sauce and a side of fries. The fries were almost raw and tasted like they had been fried in fish oil. The sauce was obviously packet mix and lumpy. The salad served with the steak was soaked in some store bought Italian dressing and tasted awful. The steak itself was, however, cooked to the correct temperature, the only saving grace of the meal.

The food here is not cheap and for the price one would expect some culinary craft. Instead you get cafeteria quality, packet mix, processed food. A few fresh ingredients would go a long way to improving the quality of the food.

The bathrooms while clean need some repairs. The toilet was not even fixed to the floor and was an accident waiting to happen. The dining room floors are all polished granite. When the floors are wet (as in when it rains) they are extremely slippery and nobody seems to be particularly concerned as there was nobody moping up. Be vary careful especially on the stairs.

Our server was very pleasant and did her best. No complaints there.

Not interested in returning unless the food improves dramatically. Waste of a great decor if you're going to do...
