Pizza Italy — Restaurant in Saint Martin

We were seated promptly, but that’s where the positive aspects of our experience ended. My family and I waited an excruciating 15 minutes for the menus to arrive. The waiter displayed impatience when we placed our drink orders, informing us that they couldn’t mix drinks and were only serving pizza since it was Monday and they were understaffed to our dismay. We had to place our food and drink orders simultaneously.

Drink order was received incorrectly. After an agonizing 1 hour and 6 minutes, our food finally arrived. It’s worth noting that there were only 7 of us in our party, and as of this writing, it’s been an additional 1 hour and 24 minutes, and I’m the only one who hasn’t received my pizza. Surprisingly, everyone else who arrived after us had already received their food.

The pizzas that my family received were all burnt, with very thin sauce and dried-out cheese. This is unacceptable, especially considering that I’ve been a loyal customer of Sint Maarten for the past 12 years and have never encountered such poor quality food and service before.

If you’re struggling with staffing shortages and can’t provide satisfactory food and service, it’s time to reconsider how many people you seat...

Quite possibly the best pizza we have ever eaten. The crust was ultra thin, yet sturdy and tender enough that it almost wasn't there. My wife and I rarely can eat an entire pie, but there was nothing left. Toppings were fresh and delicious and the sauce was perfect. Be sure to ask for the pepper infused olive oil instead of, or with, the pepper flakes. Our waiter, Edison (Eddie), a local, was attentive and very professional, despite the difficult couple he was serving at the same time. Super nice pizzas on the menu, fast and friendly service and notice the amazing skill of this gentleman, his name is Sherif, assisting his tables and he does NOT write down the orders, while he has it 100% correct EVERY time.
