We enjoyed breakfast here every morning, which featured a selection of classic items: scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, pancakes, French toast, fruits, yogurt, and cereal. There was also a station where you could create your own omelet or waffles.
For dinner, the food was consistently delicious, even pleasing my picky teen who only usually eats chicken nuggets and fries. For appetizers, we sampled the hummus and pita, shrimp cocktail (our favorite), crab cakes (which were a bit overcooked), and tomato bruschetta.
Our main courses included:
Roasted cauliflower Shrimp scampi Chicken Alfredo (a favorite of my picky eater) Lobster mac and cheese (my daughter mentioned there wasn't enough lobster, but it was still very tasty)
We also participated in Lobster Night, which was $25 per person for all-inclusive guests. You could choose to have the lobster grilled or prepared in the Thermidor style, and it came with lemon garlic, a mixed salad, and one side dish of your choice.
We tried all the mocktails, and the cranberry cooler was my favorite. The dining experience was enhanced by a great view of the beach. Our server, whose name I didn’t catch but who looked like Frank Ocean according to my kids, was...
Read moreI came to this location to check out the menu and have an early dinner late lunch about 4:00 p.m.. We took one step on the top step of the seating area after we initially sat in a lower seating area and one of the waiters came out and confronted us about coming up the stairs to the landing area. The upper seating area apparently belongs to Pureocean Beachside dining. You know it doesn't matter whether it did or did not belong to whom or whatever restaurant...I am a customer I don't care where I sit, as long as I get my food. This incident, as a stand-alone issue, gave me a bad taste right from the start about this restaurant. The server seemed quite friendly and capable, but at one time seem to disappear when we were ready to leave. My spouse and I wound up sitting outside with an enormous amount of flies buzzing around our food which reduced the enjoyability of eating at this restaurant that much further.. My spouse got the mahi-mahi and indicated that it wasn't as tasty as she thought it should be even though the visual presentation was good. Don't pass up another restaurant to go to this one because it wasn't anything...
Read moreThis was actually the first meal at DIVI that we thought was worth the money. Had the Dutch steak, but for anyone in America to understand it's basically pot roast. Very tasty and very enjoyable... And you can't take it down a notch for the price because you're at a resort.
As with other reviews that you can see for the property, the service is not what you would expect in a restaurant that charges five-star prices. The pricing for side dishes is a bit much considering the portion size.
Had a nice bottle of wine and the weather was beautiful so we were sitting outside enjoying the live music. The only drawback is that for some reason this location does not seem to make you feel very welcome when you're trying to relax on your vacation.
Regardless of the pricing and the service that could be better... I would definitely recommend it as a place to eat while you're on the property if you can avoid...
