Thai Street Food Schiedam — Restaurant in Schiedam

Really nice place for a quick Thai food experience. I believe the original concept is based on take away, but they also have a really nice and cozy dinner area where you can enjoy the great flavor this cuisine has to offer. It has a nice decor, that gives just the perfect vibe, based on what I expected. The staff was very friendly and we got served with a smile. The food is relatively cheap, but really tasty! The portions are good, leaning on servings for about 1,5 people per dish. Don't worry if you can't finish everything, the restaurant offers doggybags, so you can enjoy the food for your midnight cravings, or the next day. To quote Gordon Ramsay “the food is quite consistent… consistently bad”. We ordered once and we were quite disappointed with the quality of the food. Today we decided to give it one more chance, and unfortunately we were disappointed again. The food is so non-authentic that you can barely call it Thai anymore.

My husband is Thai, so we might be a bit biased here. But we have ordered from so many places, that even though not 100% real Thai, at least they were good. This is not even that.

Needless to say, we won’t be ordering...

I was in Bangkok 3 months ago and there I got addicted to fried fish with tamarinde sauce. It was a kind of taste and presentation that I never before met in a Thai restaurant in NL.
