The food was OK, the service was terrible.

We were with 6 people, and 2 babies. We immediately got a not that we should move the baby carriages out of the way. Which we promptly did, but as were in the corner, we didn't see the harm. But we moved them anyway.

As 1 of the babies needed changing, 2 people left the table to do that. Then she came by to take our orders, but we asked here for 2 minutes because not everybody of our party was here. She gave us the comment "we have all day", with a very annoying undertone. She clearly didn't mean it, as she stormed off. 3 minutes later she came, back and we ordered. We ordered our food, we got it from a waiter that was very friendly. Gave us the food with a smile.

Between the time of ordering and getting our food, she came back to tell us they didn't have mussels. We luckily already had a backup plan. But why do you put boards outside, advertising the mussels if you don't have any.

While we were eating, we a saw an elderly couple come up to sit at a table close to us. She scolded them, because they had to wait till the table was cleared. The elderly couple were a little touched by that apparently, but they waited and sat down afterwards.

In the end, when she came to clear the table, we asked if she could bring back the bill. We were scolded again, because we had to wait a minute till she was done clearing the table.

I can understand you want to finish your things before starting something else, but there are different ways to explain this to your clients. I don't think we are the hardest clients, (and the elderly couple definitely weren't), but she did give us a hard time.

Very dissatisfied! The first impression counts and this was incredibly bad. Even if not all employees are that incompetent and the food is perhaps great, one or two situations are enough for such an assessment. If service is no longer worth anything, no one will come and there will be no recommendations. What we experienced that evening didn't even happen in a snack bar. Hele gezellige zaak met overdekt terras, met uitkijk op de mooie kerk van Renesse. Het is een groot restaurant en voor ieder seizoen geschikt. Binnen is het warm en sfeervol ingericht met ruime plekken. Tevens kan je in de serre zitten voor wat meer daglicht. In de zomer gaan de ramen en deuren van de serre lekker open en kan je ook nog op het terras zitten. De kaart is ruim, het heeft wat weg van een brasserie met bekende vlees en vis gerechten, maar er is ook aandacht voor het seizoen. Met bijvoorbeeld verse vis of mosselen. Voor de kinderen ook voldoende keuze, lekkere pannenkoeken! De friet is heerlijk vers, net als het brood. Er wordt met aandacht gekookt. Mijn mossel pannetje was top! Het personeel is vriendelijk, behulpzaam en je hoeft nooit lang te wachten. Het is er altijd gezellig druk, maar toch vaak een plekje te bemachtigen. De eigenaresse werkt zelf mee in de zaak en doet er alles aan om het iedereen naar de zin te maken. Ze is onwijs attend en vriendelijk en maakt met gasten graag een praatje, tevens heeft ze alles goed in de smiezen en zorgt ze dat alles op rolletjes loopt. Echt een power vrouw. Ze was heel lief voor onze zoon van 4, die rustig in de speelhoek z’n gang kon gaan. En toen ik m’n telefoon vergat bij het vertrekken, hadden ze hem gelukkig voor me bewaard en kreeg ik nog een gratis drankje ook om van de schrik bij te komen.
