I have to be honest and say that I would not stay here again. As soon as you arrive outside the building has the appearance of being neglected and "tired". Shabby looking frontage gives way to a tired interior that has a strange mix of styles. We had Room 6 on the first floor accessed via a spiral staircase onto first floor landing. Nice view of washing hanging out to dry from the next landing above your head. The lighting from the ceiling on the corridor to the rooms have exposed electrical wiring. The room was basic to say the least, mirror on the inside of cupboard door held on by sticky tape. Bathroom lights loose and can be lifted free of housing, again exposing electrical wiring. Pervasive smell from the kitchen downstairs, plug for sink broken off and located on top of radiator nearby. The hotel just has the air of being neglected and in need of renovation. Big...

I've been here almost half a year ago and am planning on staying here again this summer. ||This lovely and cozy little hotel is situated in the small town of Zierikzee. The owners of the hotel are typically Chinese but very friendly and hospitable. Although it might not look very welcoming from the outside, the rooms are in super condition, newly renovated and enough for a longer stay or for a short weekend trip. It is merely a couple of metres away from the centre, which is good, since one won't notice all the noise from the market or stores. ||||Rooms are comfortable with a nice bed, a TV, shower/bathtub and hairdryer. Leider kann man keine 0 Sterne vergeben. Wir haben das Hotel über booking.com gebucht. Wir sind von dieser Plattform noch nie enttäuscht worden, aber einmal ist immer das erste Mal. Vorab, wir sind eher abgereist, weil die Zustände untragbar sind! Das Hotel liegt zentral, das ist das einzig Positive. Das ganze Hotel riecht nach altem Fett. Der Handlauf an der Treppe zu den Zimmern kann man leider nicht nutzen, da das Fritierfett daran klebt. Die Zimmer sind alle im ersten Stock. Schaut man im Treppenhaus in den zweiten Stock, sieht man private Wäsche, die dort von den Hotelbesitzern, zum trocknen aufgehängt wird (Fotos vorhanden). Im Zimmer angekommen, kam dann der nächste Schock. Das Zimmer war winzig. Die Staubmäuse im Zimmer waren ausgewachsene Staubratten, die Stromverteilerboxen hatten keine Abdeckungen, so daß die blanken Kabel raus schauten, die Eingangstür hatte Löcher, die mit Tesafilm überklebt worden waren, die Matratzen im Bett waren so dreckig, das wir Handtücher drüber gelegt haben, im Bad war Schimmel wo man nur hinschaute, die Fenster waren undicht und man konnte nicht durchschauen, weil ein komischer weißer Schmierfilm darauf war (selbstverständlich haben wir alles mit Bildern dokumentiert). Das gebuchte Doppelzimmer mit 2 Einzelbetten war es natürlich auch nicht. Da wir erst spät angereist sind, blieb uns leider nichts anderes, als eine Nacht dort zu übernachten, angeblich waren alle Zimmer ausgebucht und man konnte uns kein anderes Zimmer geben. Bei einem Übernachtungspreis weit über 100 € die Nacht, erwarte ich etwas anderes. Das Personal konnte nicht verstehen, warum wir nach nur einer Nacht das Hotel verlassen haben und hatte dafür kein Verständnis.
