La Stella Marina — Restaurant in The Hague

This place was disappointing. It is obviously very receptive to their returning clientele. For us, it was the first, and the last time. Being familiar with Italian dinner settings, the basic was missing: warm hospitality. While we did not order any starters, nobody bothered to offer any bread. We observed later that bread was offered to a nearby table. When we finished dinner, and deserts, we were hoping to be offered a glass of limoncello, as we heard this was offered to a nearby table. Although the restaurant is located at a very nice spot in the harbour, I have no idea how it’s rated so highly on google. The best thing on my pizza was the salt I added. Literally. There was one nice waitress but the overall atmosphere was not very gezellig. I would not recommend this restaurant - especially considering that there are so many great restaurants in The Hague. PS: if you’re celiac and came for the gluten free pizza please be careful. They gave me a regular pizza and I triple checked before they realised that...

Not sure how it can be so well rated on google. First point is that I got FOOD POISONED by having a pasta with seafood. Second point is my doubt about their extremely huge menu: how can they have such a big offer and have fresh ingredients? Third point: the only Italian thing is that the names of the dishes are written in Italian, for the rest no Italian vibe at all.
