Oma Toos Scheveningen, Pannenkoekenhuis Scheveningen — Restaurant in The Hague

Kitchen closes half an hour before the shop closes. We have been there 2 minutes after that - and no Pannenkoeken in the Pannenkoekenhuis.

Also ice cream finishes at an undefined time before the shop closes, because they are cleaning everything.

Well my proposal to the owner is: serve your clients until whatever time you choose and call that your opening hours. Clean your place after you close for the public.

Why should I learn your internal rules about what time I can order the stuff that you advertise?

EDIT: I guess the food is OK. Smells fine. Cannot review that because I had no chance tasting it.

Owners insist that it is the clients' responsibility to research harder. They believe that they have a right to receive 5 stars because other clients are satisfied.

Website states 20:30 where Google Maps sais 21:00. I should have researched that. Owners recommend to make a reservation. Owners are offended by negative review and believe they are doing everything exactly...

Great place to take your kids to have some pancakes! I was with them by myself and I chilled with them in the play-corner and the waiter came to the corner to inform us the menu's had been put on the table and to ask if we wanted drinks. Once the food was there he came to inform us about that as well. I know plenty of places who would not have taken that effort. They have heavy doors so the kids can't escape when you happen to not be watching them, handy! My 5 year old just managed to open the front-door with lots of effort. A nice traditional Dutch restaurant, most probably the only one in the city (or one of the few). Food is good and portions are satisfying. Restaurant offers a wide selection of pancakes, both sweet and salty (they are the speciality of the restaurant), and several traditional dishes (mostly meat dishes or variation of stampott). We took stampott with meat ball and visserspannetje, and a portion of poffertjes to share. Everything was satisfying. Location is very nice, with view on the harbour. Staff is really nice and friendly. Service is good. The local is simple and informal, but very nice....
