Pizzeria Taormina — Restaurant in The Hague

I was quite excited to try out this place after having read the reviews, however that excitement did not last long. I called to place an order for takeaway, my order was taken by a very friendly young man who said the pizza would be ready in 20 minutes (which it was, the timing was spot on). I walked over to the restaurant to pick up my order where I was greeted by a lady who asked what I would like to order. I then said that I was there to pick up my pizza which I ordered by phone, she then said "oh, they're for you" in a very hostile tone and that along with some attitude. I was so confused and taken aback by her reaction, I felt as if I was judged, as if I looked like I couldn't afford a pizza or something. As you can imagine, this left a very bad taste in my mouth. After having tried their pizza, I will say it was quite delicious but I am not willing to return to this establishment. As we entered the restaurant, we were told it was a busy night to be fair before we were seated. However, we sat for 30 minutes and was not offered a beverage or bread basket...nothing. Since it looked like we weren't going to be served anytime soon, obviously we decided to leave and find somewhere else to eat. As we were leaving, only then did someone approach us, and I told them we are going somewhere else to which they rudely recanted, "well it makes our job easier [if you don't eat here and go somewhere else]." It's too bad because my friend recommended this place but I am never returning on account of the poor service and rude...

On the website it said they deliver at 19.45. When ordered the delivery time was 19.55 - all ok. At 20.10 I called to asked for status update. The lady on the phone had many excuses, busy, etc, and said order is for 20.30. I said that that is different than the website and said I shouldn’t order via Thuisbezorgd. I told here I didn’t order via that website and she became passive aggressive and was not friendly at all. Instead of being sorry and saying she will do her best it was blaming others and even said to me: ‘you have to listen’ - ‘moet je even luisteren’. Bad service. The...
