We traveled 100 kilometers specifically to visit this place based on the Google reviews, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a huge disappointment. Honestly, I can’t understand how this place has such a high rating, as it clearly doesn’t deserve it.
Let me start from the beginning: when we arrived, a woman in a white shirt greeted us and initially offered us a table by the window. However, she quickly changed her mind and suggested other tables. We asked if it was possible to sit by the window, but we were told that the table would be occupied in an hour. Five minutes later, another group of customers sat at that table and stayed there much longer than an hour.
Next, we had to wait more than 15 minutes for the menu, while the same woman in the white shirt walked around the room and didn’t even notice that we were without menus. She seemed more concerned with preparing another table for a reservation, arranging plates. Finally, after asking for the menu, we were kindly served by another woman in a black jacket.
We thought the unpleasant moments were over, but unfortunately, things got even worse. The khachapuri was good, but the khinkali were a total disappointment. Most of them were cracked, and all the broth had leaked out, suggesting that they were likely poorly frozen before cooking. The dough also seemed undercooked.
Furthermore, when I went to the restroom, there was no soap in the dispenser—just a large bottle of soap, which was very inconvenient to use.
Lastly, we ordered additional khinkali and khachapuri to take away and ended up waiting 50 minutes for our order!
Overall, this visit was a complete disappointment. We wasted so much time, and after this experience, we will never return and definitely won’t recommend this...
Read moreThe restaurant was very busy when we arrived, but the staff quickly cleared a table for us. Despite the bustling atmosphere, they remained friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our meal.
The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, and it was genuinely difficult to choose — everything sounded tempting!
We decided on Kitri Pomidoris Salata Nigvzi (Special Georgian traditional salad), Chinkali Khinkali (dumplings), Sjasjlik (pork kebabs), and Chakapuli. The pork kebab was the definite star of the evening, and both the dumplings and Georgian salad were absolutely delicious.
We also tried the Chakapuli, which was served in a bowl with a spoon. While it was clearly prepared with care and had a very fresh, herb-forward aroma, the flavor was a bit too intense for us. The bread had been brought to the table earlier with other dishes, so we weren’t sure if it was meant to accompany the Chakapuli.
The restaurant is nicely decorated, creating a warm and inviting ambiance.
As a heads up, the space in the bathroom is quite small, with one area for handwashing and two individual stalls. When I went to wash my hands before eating, two people came out of the stalls, and it felt a bit awkward since it was a mixed-gender setup. That said, I understand that space is often limited in Europe, so it’s just something to be aware of.
All in all, we had a wonderful evening with delicious food, great service, and a...
Read more1 star only for the food and because I am trying to give some balance on google reviews on the real situation. I went with a friend for dinner after being recommended to go. We both were very disappointed by the food. We ordered: KHACHAPURI- ACHARULI: the fried bread filled with cheese and egg. I thought it was uncooked as the egg was raw and the bread dough was very wet. In any case, not tasty at all. KHINKALI: dumplings with meat. They come by five. We could not even finish one each. The remaining 3 came away as doggy bag that I gave to two homeless people. Now even feeling sorry for giving that to them as they might not like it either. =/ KAVURMA: lamb with vegetables. it was ok, nothing special. I had better stews. LOBIO QOTANSHI: beans with a fat fried bread. it was ok, but not really good. Everything came with plain bread, which I have to admit it was the best part. I think I filled myself with it. The rest, as mentioned came away with doggy bag as we could not really finish eating it. 1 coke and 2 beers for a total of 56.50 euros. I would not...
