Vincenzo's - Scheveningen — Restaurant in The Hague

My partner and I really like the pizzas at Vincenzo’s, back then we were in Scheveningen on King's Day and wanted to try Vincenzo's in Scheveningen. The interior is beautiful, retro and nice warm atmosphere! It’s really nice to see that every other Vincenzo's has a different vibe per location!

Pizzas were super tasty again, nice crust, authentic, simple but full of flavour! Still we thought it was unfortunate that our waiter forgot the chili oil and a drink. In the end she brought the drink anyway and it was on the house, which was no problem in the end because forgetting something can happen to anyone + it was solved, But Vincenzo's is customer friendly and it's really nice to see that they are very easy to give you something on the house if they forget your drink or had to wait a long time for it! (unlike other restaurants.)

Furthermore I really want to say that the toilets are far from clean. It was a nightmare that came true for every woman! Not only is it just unhygienic, but it also puts women at greater risk of infections. However it was King's Day so I understand that it was extra busy on that day but please I really advise to make separate female and male toilets! At first I didn't know if I was in front of the right toilet, but once I was inside, urine was everywhere on the floor that you had to roll up your pants and stand on your toes, including the walls and toilet were under urine! During my visit to Vincenzo's in Scheveningen, I experienced quality Italian cuisine in a pleasant setting. Located in the vibrant coastal area, this restaurant offers a genuine Italian dining experience.

Na regelmatig bij Vinchenzo’s besteld te hebben, waren we enthousiast om de nieuwe zaak bij ons in de buurt uit te proberen. Het eten is werkelijk heerlijk, maar helaas laat de service te wensen over.

De dame die ons bediende was vriendelijk, maar niet erg attent. Na het voorgerecht vroegen we of de tafel schoongemaakt kon worden. Dit gebeurde echter niet; in plaats daarvan werden er schone servetten op de natte, vieze plekken van de tafel gelegd. Het eerste glas prosecco bleek niet goed (de bubbels waren verdwenen), maar gelukkig kregen we wel een nieuw glas. Toch ontbrak het verder aan aandacht: er werd niet bijgeschonken tijdens de gerechten en we moesten continu zelf om dingen vragen.

Halverwege ons hoofdgerecht was de dame blijkbaar klaar met haar dienst, maar de lege glazen op onze tafel bleven staan. Tot onze verbazing ging ze aan de bar zitten. Nieuwe bediening kwam er niet, en pas na meerdere keren vragen aan een andere medewerker – die haastig en ongeïnteresseerd leek – konden we uiteindelijk de rekening vragen. Het bestellen van een dessert werd hierdoor overgeslagen.

Een ander opvallend punt was dat het personeel regelmatig in een rechte lijn door de zaak liep zonder op te letten of gasten iets nodig hadden. Hierdoor was het haast onmogelijk om iets te bestellen. Ondanks dat er drie à vier personeelsleden rondliepen, leek niemand oog te hebben voor de gasten of ervoor te zorgen dat alles soepel verliep.

De sfeer werd niet verbeterd door de man achter de bar, waarvan onduidelijk was wat zijn rol was. Was hij medewerker? Eigenaar? Hij leek in ieder geval weinig interesse te hebben in wat er in de zaak gebeurde.

De totale rekening kwam uit op 100 euro, maar dit had gemakkelijk verdubbeld kunnen worden als we meer drankjes, dessert, koffie of extra’s hadden kunnen bestellen. Dit is ontzettend jammer, want de kwaliteit van het eten is fantastisch. Helaas staat de matige service een optimale ervaring in de weg.
