Café Minnaert — Restaurant in Utrecht

AVOID THIS CAFE - DISHONEST STAFF! I usually don't write any review but I have to this time. They charge for takeaway cups and promise you can return them. When I brought back two cups, the staff woman only wanted to give me tokens instead of direct credit. After checking with her colleague, she took one cup back. When I returned later for coffee, the SAME woman refused to take my remaining cup, suddenly claiming "you can redeem one if you have two."

Complete contradiction! They promised I could return the cups when I bought them, then changed the rules on the spot. This is straight-up cheating! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! They really treat customers like garbage. Don't waste your money...

In my opinion the best cantine on the Uithof. The food is fairly priced and of good quality. Apart from the meals which range from salads, yoghurt and curry or chilli con carne, you can also create your own more simple meal with cheap slices of bread or bake-off bread.
