Koffie & Ik — Restaurant in Utrecht

This cafe is a rare find, especially in the Netherlands - it opens as early as 8 am., even on Sundays, making it perfect for morning people like me. I personally love sitting outside on the street in the mid-morning sun (when we’re lucky enough to have it). It does get busy at times, but in my experience, the service is always quick.

They serve an excellent cappuccino, along with tasty granola with yogurt, sandwiches, and some of the best cakes in the area. My personal favorite is definitely the banana bread!

It’s not the kind of place where you’d linger for hours, but it’s just right for soaking up some sun and enjoying a lovely breakfast or coffee break.

Inside, I’ve noticed there’s a fee for laptops, which might not appeal to everyone. But overall, the atmosphere is pleasant, and if you’re from the area, I’d definitely recommend...

Lovey place to drink a coffee. I come here a lot (this week already three times) to have a coffe and to get some work done. The staff is friendly and clearly having fun together.

One of the downsides is that most of the times it takes quite long for the staff to notice new customers and to get their order (yes, I recorded the time) and sometimes it takes over 15 minutes before they come over to take my order. Even when people who came in after me, already have their coffee. Many times I have to go to the counter to order. So if I can give the staff a tip: please keep better track of who comes in new and which tables are served once every ten minutes, instead of talking to each other about what they will do...

Writing this as I sit here sipping on this yummy Ice Chai Tea Latte. Only in Utrecht for a stop over and and came to this place twice because this drink is hella goed!

Service was nice and friendly, English speaking and of course very polite. Place is pretty cosey, could jam here for a couple hours easily, I think. Mostly seen people working on their laptops (me too, except at this very moment). Actually working too and not just on Facebook/YouTube. By the way, my latte came with some biscuit thing. That was pretty good as well!
