Studio Sugar Snap — Restaurant in Utrecht

Went to here after a recommendation from a friend. After a sunny day spent canoeing in the city center, the fresh veggies from Studio Sugar Snap were more than welcome. It's actually more of a takeaway place, but we sat down to enjoy our dinner at the cosy armchairs inside. It looked already promising from the colourful outside walls!

I took the Ghetto Gado, cold veggies with warm homemade peanut sauce and rice. A more satisfying dish I could not wish for at the moment. My girlfriend had the Arabic salad, the best one she tried, she said. A big bowl of veggies with a tasty blend of herbs and a delicious yoghurt dressing. We shared the Kentucky Fried Eggplant with spring onion and sriracha mayonaise. Simply amazing. The tiramisu we were looking forward to order for dessert, was made with oreos, a little bit of a disappointing idea for me, but it was a good combination with the vegan "mascarpone" and a tasty dessert in the end!

We were very welcomed by the staff and they provided us with a great service! The place looks cosy and colourful, being decorated with a lot of wood and plants. It's a 5min walk from the central station, so I will definitely come back here to try other menu items. The mushroom rendang and japanese curry sounded...

Hands down one of the best meals (vegan or otherwise), I've had in my entire life!

I ordered the Tikka Masala and the cheesecake to be delivered and wasn't sure if the taste would live up to their gorgeous pics, but they went above and beyond. Both were OUT OF THIS WORLD delicious. Like...lick the bowls, delicious...even though I was stuffed. I initially wondered why they gave me so many sweet potatoes for the dish, no way the dish needs all those. I ate every last one. Amazing food and incredible service! I've had parsnip soup in my order, when the order arrived there was a handwritten card with apology saying that they ran out of parsnip soup and changed it with cauliflower one. They also included two banana breads for free ❤ Needles to say I was no where near disappointed! Everything tasted incredible and a personal touch goes an increadibly long way to show that this food was made with love and care. Please order there and support this place, they do it because they love it...
