Best food I ate in one week on a dutch roadtrip. Entered by chance since we were at the Lego shop nearby and I needed a toilet they did not have. Felt honorbound to get a meal after the Lego-shopping and was blown away. The chicken brith fir instance gets cooked hours on a slow fire, spuces get cut by the chef freshly while preparing the meal, everything is well thought of, including the harmony of the tastes. A double soecial plus: food gets low salt added and a desert was changed on the spot to not contain any gluten. In addition I was told what not to share with the gluten free child from my own meal. The food was tasty and they definitely make an effort to give it an upscale look. Dishes are more elevated in appearance than what I was expecting. Portions are also enough to keep you satisfied. The atmosphere of the place is very nice, it's a surprisingly cosy and vibrant place. Service was friendly but very fragmented - one person brings the menus, another takes the order, another brings the drinks, etc. It's all fine to have a division of tasks and stay efficient, but you shouldn't tell customers who want to ask a question that you're here only for this task, you will call another colleague for the question. Very pure and honest food for a fair price, also has good coffee and affordable wines. They have a small selection on the menu but all the choices are well made, and every day there's also different options you can get off menu. The staff is also very nice and attentive and you can see they are really passionate about the food and drinks they serve.
