La Payuca — Restaurant in Woerden

Reserved with the assumption that an Argentinian restaurant would have excellent steak and traditional chimichurri. We where highly dissatisfied!!!

Ordered t-bone medium rare and got a very rare sirlion which was full of sinew. Clear indication that the chef does not review the cuts or know how to grill difficult ones.

Ordered the trio of Argentinian speciality steaks. All steaks where done just above medium rare, but none where seasoned at all. Taking into account the dutch hatred for any fat we ended up with just bland food with zero natural flavour.

For the price per dish I would never go here again. Perhaps the restaurant is trying too hard to accommodate the bland dutch pallets, but I rather believe this place is just not good enough far anything.

Also the chimmichurri was in my opinion not even close to what I had before. So again another indication that this place is not really...

I want to go back!! I had AMAZING Spare Ribs and the Entrecote was a dream. It was super delish and I wish the restaurant isn't 400 km form our home :) . We didn't had reservation but we came in early on a Saturday and had the luck of getting a table for two. It was pack and I was happy that they checked the Vaccine code and the passports just to make sure that we are all save. While we where they prepared many many out of house orders so I believe the amazing taste is very well know in Woerden. The waiter was so super nice and attentive....

The service here is very attentive, fast and kind. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious! The ribs, both the spicy and the sweet kind, were as tasty and tender (as my boyfriend and I had hoped for from the many reviews).

We left very satisfied and VERY full. I had the Copa Don Pedro for a tasty dessert cocktail (walnut ice cream and whiskey). It was a very nice dinner from start to finish and I truly hope we come back soon to try out more!

There's also a nearby, cheap parking lot within walking distance...
