Dear Leo and your partner,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
That said, I’d like to clarify a few things regarding your visit. You mentioned being hungry for Italian flavours, yet chose to pair our dishes with Chinese noodles. Your partner ordered arancini and lasagna — two dishes our regular customers at Dante’s Eastridge are very familiar with, both in terms of portion and value. It was your decision to take these items away, and we always do our best to serve consistent, high-quality food, whether for dine-in or takeaway.
It’s disappointing to receive criticism that doesn’t reflect the actual experience. Comments like yours — and others who may not fully appreciate what small, independent restaurants strive to offer — can be disheartening. However, we understand that everyone comes with different expectations and backgrounds.
Dante’s is not part of a food court. The Eatery is a curated space where each restaurant brings its own unique flavours and culinary philosophy. We ask all guests to respect that by supporting each kitchen individually, rather than mixing meals from different outlets in one sitting. This isn’t about rules for the sake of it — it’s about preserving the integrity and experience that each chef works hard to create.
We encourage everyone to appreciate and support the effort and passion behind small businesses. Your palate and dining choices are entirely your own, but we kindly ask not to project those preferences onto others, especially in a way that undermines the work of dedicated teams.
Thank you again, and we wish you all the best.
Warm regards Yeta & Dante’s...
Read moreI want to advise other customers that this establishment serves complete utter trash and let me tell you why Firstly the pizza base was wet and did not reach the desired crispness that your competitors achieve. Secondly The pizza sauce resembled a home-brand can of tomatoes or a low budget at best. Thirdly The price was ridiculous for what was on offer and if i could do a comparison i would say its a tier lower than what you purchase from a supermarket freezer. Finally you guys state on instagram that you are the best pizza place in the country , when in reality its the worst pizza ive ever tasted and self proclaimed statements that falsify about being the best is criminal and you should reconsider your business strategy before you con other customers
Hi ,Dante thank you for your reply
Firstly the lack of professionalism in your response should be noted as your a business and should behave as one
As for my review i stand by it and was simply outlining my dissatisfactory experience and not “not dumping trash” as you shrewdly pointed out.
As a business it is quite common to receive negative reviews which as a owner (. Im assuming you are the owner) to take it as constructive criticism to help your business move forward and rectify whats working and what’s not ,instead of making weak threats to justify weak food
I hope to hear from you soon with a action plan and mature response...
Read moreDante's is one of the restaurants in the Eatery at Eastridge. It is the one closes to the entrance so it has its own tables, both inside and outside. There is a specials board on the outside and they have a menu out front so you can have a look at what they have. They do both pizza and pasta. The pizzas here are quite nice, made with sourdough and quite soft and airy. My friend said it was similar to ones they had in Naples, the only difference being the tomato sauce. The crust was quite nice to eat, almost like a thin, crispy piece of bread. It didn't have a lot of crunch at the base, it was quite soft. The pizzas are made to order in their special oven so you can see them make and cook it before bringing it to your table. They also do a calzone, a turnover made with pizza dough. The one we got was the nutella one. Dollops of nutella cooked inside the tasty dough and served with strawberries and cream. I enjoyed it since the dough wasn't super bready and there was so much nutella inside. It was quite a nice place for pizza. They also have tables near the shop so you can eat there. We were able to order items from a different place and eat it there.
Edit: the Montanare (fried sourdough) was fairly large...
