Shiraz Restaurant — Restaurant in Ōrākei

We ordered the bread & dip platter, which was some pieces of warm flat bread and 6 different dips. Now I am not a huge lover of hummus but dayum was there homemade hummus GOOD!!!! I was hoping they would sell the hummus to take home, but unfortunately....they don't...so I have to keep going back lol! For mains we ordered eye fillet steak and minced lamb skewers with saffron rice and salad topped with a tasty Mayo. Now the skewers were very tender but the minced lamb skewers were out of this world! Full of flavour and it's like they were basted in butter. Also still having a lot of dip left over, went very well with the mains. Very nice small restaurant with great background music to compliment the vibe. Great friendly staff who explained the food when asked and went to find out where i could get some of the dips from lol! All in all, would definitely...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Shiraz Restaurant, and the experience was truly delightful! The starter was a delicious eggplant dip, I opted for the "Apadana," a mouthwatering combination of skewered lamb steak and minced lamb, accompanied by a refreshing side of olives and salad. The portion size was perfect, and the price was just right.

The atmosphere at Shiraz Restaurant was inviting, and the ample parking spaces in front made it hassle-free. The customer service was top-notch, adding to the overall positive vibe. I'm definitely planning to return; that's how happy I am with my visit. To top it off, I concluded the meal with a traditional tea, enhancing the authenticity of the entire experience.

A solid 5 stars from me – highly recommended for anyone looking for an exceptional Persian dining experience at Shiraz...

Best Persian Iranian restaurant by far. I have dined out in some of the best restaurants in Los Angeles, California and Toronto, Canada where you could find lots of Iranian restaurants but I can truly say that Shiraz Restaurant in Auckland, New Zealand offers far superior quality and taste than any other place I have ever been to. I tried their food 3 times over 2 weeks of my stay in Auckland and I was extremely pleased with the consistency of quality and unmatched taste of all items on their menu.
