Blomquists Bakery — Restaurant in Bay of Plenty

An upmarket bakery yes, delicious quality food yes but I need to address the coffee... There is a friendly gentleman with dark hair who makes in my opinion, which is what you're reading this to hear is so far the best coffee I have tasted in tauranga.

I typically come here early morning before work and order a cappuccino. The beans are a medium roast with little acidity and a nice depth of flavour. The milk is something to behold, its frothed beautifully and has a full bodied silky mouth feel which is exactly what you should expect from a barista coffee. I would also like to add that this bakery knows the difference between a latte and cappuccino, no they are not the same thing (Mc Donald's morning crew I'm looking at you )which many places I've tried get wrong.

This place is worth a stop in especially early morning for a pie and coffee. Plus a free heart...

Had an almond milk flat white, which can be tricky to get right. They passed with flying colours. The cabinets are very presentable so I had to try a few things. Their breakfast panni was tasty with the bread soft and the filling flavourful. Got a custard square for my wife which is her favourite, big thumbs-up from the Mrs which is high...
