Went there 2 weeks ago with my husband Ordered drinks first while studying the menu. Was approached twice to ask our food order minutes after our drinks had arrived I told her hadn't made my mind up. She came back again a few minutes after. Gave her our decision on entrees She put the order in then came back from that and asked again- gave her what we were having for our mains. Specified wanted a gap between meals due to having 2 courses each. Our entrees came out and within minutes of receiving our entrees the chef came out by the bar which was across from where we were sitting the 2 waitresses and chef were constantly looking to see if we had nearly finished - Chef then disappeared - our entree plates were taken away and our mains arrived shortly after. What happened to my request Cadera of a gap between meals. We were the only ones eating. They certainly were not busy. I counted heads and there were 5 others but only drinking. They couldn't wait to get you done and dusted. This was 5pm in the evening. I spoke to the Waitress when our mains arrived and said I asked for a gap between meals what happened- she said she forgot- I'm doubting this as we were the only ones eating not like she was rushed off her feet - I feel with the chef coming out and watching us he just wanted to get done despite what the customer had requested Meals mediocre have tasted more flavorsome in other Mexican restaurants. Totally...
Read moreWhile on our mini-moon last week we stopped into Cadera for dinner on a Thursday night. The place looked nearly empty when we arrived into town on the Wednesday night so imagine our surprise when we turned up the following night to find the place packed and humming and us panicking we hadn't booked. But the team managed to find us two empty seats which was very appreciated. First thing we did was order the 1 litre jug of white Sangria. BIG mistake. Because the first jug turned into a second jug. And could have been a third jug too if it wasn't so late. We shared the house made corn chips with hot cheese sauce to start our meal. AWESOME chips team, well done. I had the triple cheese quesadillas for a main while the bride had pork belly taco and we shared the Mexican salad. Although mains did not appear big when they arrived at our table, they were definitely filling when the salad was added. And delicious. And fresh tasting. Definitely did not disappoint. Desserts were churro's and brownie. Again delicious. And just the right amount. The atmosphere was great. The staff attentive without being overbearing or clingy. We would definitely recommend Cadera to anyone in the area looking for a great meal, especially if its...
Read moreWe had heard a lot of nice things about this restaurant, but from the minute we entered, it went downhill. The service from our waitress was halfhearted and she seemed like we were being a burden even though we were the only customers in the store at the beginning of our meal. My husband ordered the sangria and returned it after tasting. We are very well acquainted with sangria, so for us to send it back was truly because it tasted nothing like it was meant to. Our waitress never offered something different nor did the bar manager come over to see if she could at least see why we were dissatisfied. Also, our meal wasn't very good. We ended up leaving two plates of beef nachos and again the staff never once came over to see what our problem was with the meals. The nachos were cold with old salsa and to much seasoning unevenly placed on the nachos. We will never eat there again and will never recommend...
