Beachfront Bliss Accommodation — Hotel in North Island

We had been travelling for 8 nights, a different place each night. This was our last and we arrived unnanounced very tired, just wanting a quiet place to relax for the night. Robyn greeted us so warmingly and showed us too the amazing upmarket ensuite room. Everything was of high quality including a vast range of tea and coffee. We were amazed at the absolute trust when the host announced they would be out in the evening but just to make ourselves at home. This is basically just a very small bedroom with an en-suite bathroom inside someone’s house. No table to sit at and eat a meal. Yes, there is a table and chairs outside but that’s useless when it’s cold and dark as it was when we arrived. Every time someone in the house used the toilet, you could hear the water running very loudly against the wall. This went on all evening. Loud conversation from inside the house made our stay quite unpleasant. Advertised all over the internet and even in the room itself as $140 but we were charged $150.
