Millhouse Kitchen — Restaurant in Canterbury

Would not recommend, doesn't come close to Nigendys or Sommerset.

Ordered the big breakfast and asked to take off the mushrooms and beans, understandable they didn't offer a little something extra like most places.

So I added extra bacon and an extra hash brown, total coming to $33.

When my plate came out it looked tiny, I'm not sure any extra bacon was added it was a pretty small portion for $33...

I then realised I was missing a sausage one of the very few ingredients for the breakfast.

When I asked the staff they offered no real apology considering I had to wait for it to be cooked.

When it arrived it was a tasteless rubbery mess not what I'd call a chipolata, I really expected more so I asked if they had any tomato sauce.

They happily brought it over and charged me for it without telling me it was a paid extra, I find it ironic after taking things off my order, missing things and providing sub par service they were very quick to add another $0.50 on to our $70 order, that's just greedy after the mistakes.

I also don't like the bottles of water or glasses, a lot are chipped and have sharp edges you should probably look at...

Food good but thats where it ends. Barked at by an Asian waitress when we asked to sit outside, place was busy all small tables too close together so we requested a larger table, we were told none too politely "we keep them for bigger groups". When I went to order as there were no signs saying table service I was told by the same staff member, again none too politely"their are orders in front of you, you'll have to wait" Meal was good, but we were charge 50c for a takeaway container, never before have we had to pay anywhere for a box. We were giving the Millhouse a second chance after terrible food the last time we visited, we won't give it...

Very disappointed in our experience here today. We had prebooked a party of 10. Although my bao buns were delicious the menu said 4 but only 3 served, the nacho chips were burnt and had no guacamole, everyone's fries were way overcooked, they had run out of glasses so no water on tables (it was 23° sitting outside), run out of raspberry syrup, cider, reisling, rose, and some beers. We have been here before and know this is not their standard service, but if it had been our first visit we probably wouldn't be back. Fingers crossed for...
