Koji Japanese Restaurant — Restaurant in South Island

Passing by the town so we decided to stop by and try this place. Had the lunch pork katsu special Bento which was pretty good. The katsu was slightly overcooked. The mixed sushi roll was also ok, good for a small meal comes with 8 pieces for thr large. The fried chicken entree was good, light and crispy.

Koji is our go-to restaurant in Ashburton! Our 9-year-old absolutely loves the Chicken Karaage and Udon, while my wife and I can’t get enough of the Katsu curry and tempura. The food is always delicious, and Mina, the lovely owner, makes every visit feel special. We even got some complimentary desserts tonight, which was such a nice surprise for my son's birthday. I have been here a few times and I do usually love the food and the atmosphere, but this is the second time we have been given pork gyoza instead of vegetable. We called to clarify and were scoffed at and assured it was tofu, but the allergic reaction my friend just had confirms that we were indeed given pork. Very angry and upset. Will not be...
