Nor' Wester Cafe — Restaurant in Canterbury

Staff very friendly and service good. Difinately didn't get the four and a half star Trip Advisor rating for the Chicken and Bacon Sandwich. With only five dishes for lunch on the menu and at $23.50, for what most people would consider a small portion, the meal was bland, dry and very disappointing. In hindsight my wife and I should have ordered two different dishes because my dining experience is based on one dish, however as previously mentioned with a choice of only five, you would expect them all to be yummy. We arrived as a group of give wanting coffee and breakfast. Took a bit of time with all the ordering so one member of the party relooked at the food prior to her ordering coffee. She stepped back to order coffee and another couple walked in and was about to order . The waitress as the person in our party to now wait while the waitress took the new ordered. In the meantime, our party were drinking coffee eating food. After talking to manager group left grumbling about the really bad service from both manager and waitress. I had a shocking experience at this cafe. The food and drink where over priced for what I received. The owners had no idea of management or what they where doing, as my order was wrong, and both owners more interested in just moving around to make themselves look like the where doing something when all the work was being done by one person. I had a crazy wait period as did others for coffee and refered to as "Sweet" rather than my name given at ordering. I don't know either owner so not ok with being given what I feel is a patronising pet name.
