Friday evening and the busiest place in town. The menu is your stock-standard pub variety, a decent drinks list and great seating area out front. The chicken wings are nothing more than deep-fried and squirted with bbq sauce; quite dry and overcooked. I quite liked the steak sandwich; nicely medium-rare atop a toasted half of bread with onions & mushrooms, fries & onion rings. I should have asked, but curious about most of the mains having different prices at lunch and dinner. Never seen this before. Do you get more at dinner or do prices just inflate later in the day, with same portion sizes?

If you're in Geraldine try some where else. Went there for a 18 birthday dinner. The staff were friendly and made a big deal about the 18 year olds birthday witch was nice. We ordered, garlic bread, chicken nibbles, chicken burger, and pork roast. The garlic bread was ok . Chicken nibbles were ok. Roast was good. Chicken burger shouldn't really talk about it. The meat was dry, the rest of it wasn't very appealing. The service was lacking.

Always worth popping in here on a sunny day, I love their big grassy area out the front. Could spend a lot of time there! The Village Inn has a decent pub grub kind of menu and the staff are friendly and helpful. There's a sports bar in the same building if you want to sit at bar leaners and watch the game AND they sell crate bottles! Definitely worth checking out if you're ever in Geraldine.

We made a stop with my partner in Geraldine, since it was a place I wanted to visit again, however the experience I had at this cafe was terrible.

The restaurant told us that it was open however we were waiting 10 minutes for someone to serve us and no one ever came out and on repeated occasions we called and shouted to know if they were there, we went to the bar and the bartender said someone should be available on the restaurant side. We tried sgain for 5 minuted before leaving ing but the bartender saw us leace and offered accompanied us to find someone since she had told us that there should be someone at the cafe. when we arrived a woman and a man came out of the back (he went to the kitchen) the woman with curly hair and glasses nervously asked me about the cinnamon or chocolate topping, without first greeting me, asking what coffee I wanted and without apologising. I told her that I wanted chocolate and she put cinnamon (luckily I'm not allergic) when I returned to our car and I drank a sip of coffee, it was the most disgusting coffee I've ever tasted, the milk was not prepared properly and the coffee had a flavour that I couldn't recognise.

I went back and talked to the bartender and told her that the coffee was horrible, that she had made mistakes, that she never paid attention to my instructions and that I couldn't drink it like that, I told her that I didn't need the refund because I had limited time, however the attention received was...

I wont be back again. We arrived at 6 pm for our booking. Three adults and two children. I was told our table number and pointed in that direction. The two adults who arrived first bought drinks. The other adult and two children arrived a few minutes later. Our waitress arrived about 20 minutes after we had sat down, we weren't given the children's menu until we asked. The waitress didn't ask about drinks, the other adult had to ask. We placed our orders - an entree and a main. No water on the table. We had to ask when our meals were brought out. Having finished our meals at around 7.00, we then waited for the waitress to either see if we wanted more drinks or any dessert. As we had two children with us, of course they wanted dessert! I had to go up to the counter and tell the staff that we wanted some service. A different waitress turned up and asked how she could help...... we had a table full of dirty dishes that had been sitting for an hour, we needed more water and a dessert menu.....What the ..... did she think we might have wanted? No one came back to us to take our dessert orders and at 8 pm we left. Geraldine is a small town and people talk about their bad experiences and believe me, I will be talking. I've just discovered that I can't post this review unless there is a star rating. I would give this place no star at all if I could. I would complain about the service, BUT THERE...

Came in for lunch today, absolutely shocking service and food. Ordered a ploughmans platter and loaded wedges, plus two lattes and a hot chocolate. The coffee was disgusting same goes for the hot chocolate not creamy at all. When the waitress brought out the coffees asked if I could have a couple sugars and spoon she said ‘next time you’re in Geraldine let me know before ordering that you want sugar in your coffee’ couldn’t believe she said that so rude no customer service skills at all. When the food came out didn’t get any napkins or side plates to go with it nor cutlery just a knife between the 3 of us for the platter, the bread selection on the platter was just some French stick, crackers looked like cheap supermarket ones, got two small things of butter platter had a lettuce leaf and beetroot on it? And a very small amount of salami and ham for $31! Two cheeses that were nasty. Could do a much better job at home embarrassing to even serve that. When the wedges came out they forgot the cheese and bacon, would not recommend here at all don’t even waste your time or money and go else where. Pretty much didn’t touch our meals as they were appalling just left feeling hungry...
