Came for the opportunity to play the exhibition piano, and welcomed by the supervisor Bob. The piano is at the main hall just nearby the entrance, and welcomes visitor to play. The piano itself had been through some history and not making as loud as the sound from modern piano, makes it suit for a much tranquil place, somewhere just like here. Bob also introduced the beloved skifield "mt. Dobson" nearby(since he knew I'm on a ski trip). Thank you Bob and staff of this museum, had a lovely memory.

Mum and Dad have lived in Geraldine for about 16 years and this was the first time I'd visited here! Bad son. I loved this museum, heaps of great little exhibitions, and there's a decent sized extension too showing items about the Barkers industry. They're big on NZ native bats too, some of which live in Talbot Forest. Definitely worth checking out!

All of the staff were wonderfully friendly. The displays were very high quality for a regional museum, and the content was local and relevant. I really enjoyed my time at the museum. I especially liked the displays about the local flax industry, which clearly showed all the stages of the process, and the display showing the history of Barker's.
