Geraldine Motels — Hotel in South Island

We loved this place! Very affordable, modern, well maintained, and spacious units.

We had a family unit, with two bedrooms (2 single beds in one room, a queen and single bed in the other). There was a full kitchen, well stocked with equipment. Generous sized dining table and very comfy couches. Exceptionally clean and welcoming.

The unit has a door to a massive shared back yard, with our own personal deck, and a shared trampoline. It's a great space for families, because kids can play out the back and you're right there to supervise.

We worried about road noise because of the location, but we couldn't hear anything from the bedrooms. Water pressure was amazing, but we had to have it on half strength to avoid the wet-area bathroom from getting too wet.

We are going to return in the Christmas holidays, with extended family. We hope to book out several units so that the kids can all play together.

Only one negative - the WIFI...

Prefect for an overnight stop in Geraldine. Large spacious two rooms, 3 beds (2 singles and a queen) bed was very confortable, slightly dated building but bright and airy with lots of opening windows. Fully equiped kitchen with everything you need. Undercover parking at the door. Shower rose was a little on the low side for average height and the bathroom ceiling was messy. Sky channels on the tv which was in an awkward palce to watch from the queen bed but we managed. Very close to the centre of town and eateries. Great value for $120...

Thanks to Sharon and Ross for making our stay a great experience, for supplying me with magazines and information. I enjoyed sitting on the deck in the sun reading and looking at the lovely surroundings, listening to the wind in the poplar trees and the bell birds singing...sigh.... The motel maintains a high standard of cleanliness and was beautifully appointed. What a great place to stay for families with children, with so much space for the children to run around in...
