I had the worst pie I've ever had from this bakery today. Not sure why people rave about if, for one it's highly overpriced. 100% Overrated!

The pie I got was a steak and cheese, it was 90% pastry which half was overcooked and burnt and the filling was pouring everywhere which burnt my chin because the top wasn't secured to the pie. I threw this pie out for the birds in the end and even they didn't eat it.

I won't be returning as this was the worst pie experience I've ever had.

The service was pretty poor, the pies weren't labelled so you didn't know what they had there so I had to ask, I couldn't even understand the lady because her accent was so strong...

I needed another item of food heated before we left but they took it over to a bench, put it down on the bench with no plate, just purely on a dirty bench then it sat there for 5 mins before we gave up and took it away cold.

I'm not sure how they'd cope when it's busy as it wasn't when we were there.

Either way it was the shittiest bakery experience I've ever had and I...

Maybe the best bakery in town. This place has the right to be called "bakery", unlike most of others. Stepping in, (and I am Italian, so yeah, I know a big deal of what an actual bakery looks and, most of all, smells like) makes you feel in a right place, something you feel being rare in nz as you step into any so-called bakery. Food is, overall, a pro. It feels you are in a bar/bakery at home. As cons, the huge one is the day off and opening time. This is a bar, why is Sunday their day off? People get breakfast even on Sunday... And closing every day at 4.30pm? Don't people go out for a hot chocolate at night? I also just found out they close during holiday... Why? People get breakfast even, especially, when it's holiday...!! Another con: not much variety of pastry... besides the almond croissants, there is basically nothing else.... and the almond croissant itself is not particularly good. Lastly, the price, not particularly convenient. Anyway,...

As a local I have shopped here for a very long time however when for the first time I encountering the management I was very dissapointed with the bad attitude towards customers needs. My wife attempted to shop for a takeaway snack only to be told that she could not be served with takeaway food without her Vacine Pass. She returned to the car very upset at the way she was talked to by serving staff. I attempted to voice a complaint firstly to the Floor Supervisor who detailed the Government rules to me, followed by the woman owner who detailed again the same rules. Totally missing the point that the staff behaved rudely towards my now upset wife. The owner would not listen to my rudeness complaint and talked over me through the whole converation. I guess rudeness prevails here. There are ways to kindly and politely refuse service with an explanation however I guess that it all comes down to poor...

A Bakery You Can’t Afford to Miss! - Chicken Pie— Savory, flaky, and deeply satisfying. - Bacon and Egg Croissant— Buttery layers wrapped around smoky bacon and perfectly cooked egg. Quite nice sauce within it. - Almond Croissant with Apricot— A genius twist: nutty richness balanced by fruity tang. -Bee Sting Slice— Sweet, creamy, and utterly irresistible. Bread Highlights: Their mixed mini-bread pack is ideal for sampling—each piece fermented to tender, airy perfection. Every variant we tried was a win! Coffee Note: While the baked goods shine, the coffee is fairly standard. Still, it’s a worthy sidekick to these stellar treats. Flawless flavors keep us coming back. We’ll definitely be working our way through the entire menu! šŸ„šŸ”„

I wanted to pop in for a quick coffee because we hadn’t been for some time, mainly due to the parking issue. I drove into the very small ā€œcarparkā€ and was surprised to see a few spaces free. While maneuvering into it, I was careful not to get too close to the fence, hence they placed ā€œbollardsā€ but because of people fitting these bollards frequently the concrete has lifted around them causing a hazard for people with non 4WD cars. You can see by the photo what a mean. I pointed this out the manager but not sure if anything will get done as all three of the other bollards have the same issue. Just be careful if you visit.
