A bad experience. For the first time, I feel that the Google review rating is inaccurate. For me, this place is really not worthy of the 4.6 rating. The front desk had no smile and no greeting when I was ordered. I sat on a chair waiting for my coffee, and another waiter dragged away a chair in front of me with a cold face. Then I heard the front desk call "take away". I walked over and she didn't say a word. After I said "thank you", she reluctantly squeezed out "See you". When I walked out of the cafe, I found that my Mocha didn't come with marshmallows. Then I went in and asked for marshmallows. The cold-faced waiter said very impatiently, "Do you want it?" Update… in response to owner. Previously to your take over have been in several time during rush hour and always got at least a hi or be with you shortly, anyone can see you are busy but to not get a simple act of service not cool. Decor to me is boring and muted, no quirky and vibrant artworks. Used to be a regular if over that, stopped when you were closed for your rebranding. Covid blaming interesting …….

Dreadful! Stood at counter waiting to be served and ignored, not acknowledged in ANY way by the 3 staff working counter, I may be in not the best clothes but really…… new decor is dull and dreary. Ma baker...

Cocoa Black ~ Bishopdale is a welcome 🙏 addition to the area. Rarely do we see such quality cafés, where the food is freshly made daily, on site and scrumptious 😋 to boot! The staff are welcoming, friendly, and busy, ( that is a sure sign of a humming and great environment) yet attentive to acknowledge you on entry. To get a café of this caliber one expects them to be busy, so wait ✋️ up, be kind, be patient. The food is well priced and an amazing variety of options in the cabinet and on menu.
