Hung’s Takeaway — Restaurant in Christchurch

Went on a Friday night so was expecting there to be a bit of a wait, which ended up being about 30min as we went in at peak rush and ordered in store a variety of dishes. Watching the two workers preparing the food was absolutely mesmerising. They were working as fast as humanly possible to get on top of the orders, amazing team work!

Their portions were great and no.61 beef black bean was so delicious and tender, and the vegetables weren't overcooked. I will be going back to try out their other dishes.

Never had a meal I wasn't happy with and the turn around time from ordering my food to receiving it was so quick. Their sweet and sour pork is perfect. Their noodle dishes are always a good choice and fried rice is almost unbeatable. They even put in a few freebies a few times just because we made a big order which was only just under $50 (not alot when you consider the price for good Chinese food these days). Ordered 2 meals tonight. Well presented but was disappointed by the flavor and quality. Chicken chow mein was bland and flavourless, like veges had been frozen, each vege was too large. Sweet and sour pork was too large, each piece was covered in too much batter to bulk up the meal, and pineapple and veges had no flavour like it had been frozen. 2-3 star takeouts with 4 star prices.
