Indian Roots — Restaurant in Christchurch

I went there with my husband We ordered paneer tikka masala and rumali roti for dine in as we got refered to this place by some friend's but the most annoying thing I found it was peice of chicken in our curry , we are are pure vegetarians and never had any chicken or meat in our life time . We checked with manager and she confirmed that it's chicken in curry. I was so disappointed that time and ended with tears as having chicken is strictly against our religious. I just wanted to share this experience specially for vegetarian people. If that happens to us it can happen to anyone. Luckily we realized that its something is wrong and we stopped eating it in first couple of bites . I know mistake can happens but this was totally unacceptable as chef should checked what ingredients are used in vegetarian curry . Then manager said sorry and she said either she can replace or wouldn't charged us for food but we haven't had food yet. We are very perticular about our chicken tandoori, any kababs specially prepared in Indian cuisine style. Most important thing here in Christchurch; you will hardly manage to get fresh, tender chicken that has been cooked on the same day. We tried to eat Indian food in few places but none have managed to meet our expectations but this place has done really well. Everything we ordered was great and we reordered item we liked too. Chicken Tandoori was little sour because the masala was little bit more than what you would normally like on a Tandoori chicken but the most important thing was the freshness of Tandoori chicken. One curry we ordered was good. Moreover they provided some complimentary papadoms when we were waiting for our food and also made some complimentary pan fried prawns for our 4 year old daughter; isn't that lovely? How good 😊😊😊😇😇
