Extremely Disappointed with the So-Called Kerala Biryani.

Yesterday, I called the restaurant to ask about their chicken biryani. The staff member who answered told me they only had Hyderabadi biryani, but since I was specifically after an authentic Kerala-style biryani, I told her I’d come by another time instead. Just as I was about to hang up, she assured me they could make a Chicken 65 biryani in Kerala style. I appreciated her suggestion and ordered a family pack, but I made sure to double-check — she confirmed it was Kerala style.

When I went to pick it up, I even asked the person at the counter again if it was truly Kerala biryani, and he also said yes. Unfortunately, what we got at home was nowhere near what was promised. We were shocked and deeply disappointed — we honestly couldn’t even call it biryani.

What we received was more like some sort of bland Mandi rice topped with cornflour-coated chicken that had absolutely no flavor. There wasn’t a single trace of the rich spices, aromatics, or the signature taste you’d expect from a Kerala biryani — just a few chili flakes sprinkled here and there.

Needless to say, this was a huge letdown. We felt misled and wasted our money on something that didn’t even come close to what was promised. I really hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and does not mislead customers about what they...

Absolutely incredible experience every time! MG Road has become our go-to spot—especially for their unbeatable Sunday buffet. The food is consistently top-notch, with generous portions, rich flavours, and a great balance of quality and value for money. The staff are warm, welcoming, and genuinely go out of their way to make you feel at home.

The buffet is honestly on another level—so many dishes to choose from across starters, mains, sides, and desserts. Every single dish is packed with flavour and made to such a high standard—it truly competes with the best Indian food we've ever had, and the fact that it's all unlimited makes it even more amazing. You’re spoilt for choice in the best way possible!

Among the many things we love, their mocktail selection really stands out—the largest and most delicious range we've seen at any restaurant, and again, unlimited! It’s just one of many thoughtful touches that make dining here such a treat.

Here's my story- I had a booking at 7,30pm yesterday 16th Jan 2024, my guests from India whom I was hosting arrived late from QT and we reached at 8.28pm. Now closing time is 8.30pm on a Tuesday right so the million dollar question is, Were we turned away like other places? NO, they were almost closing, right and cleaning up, and I also saw the Chef walking out. BUT, Wait a Minute- They are AWESOME-Where can you get food served deliciously with a smile and service unparalleled and the owner and manager welcoming us in person. BIG Shout out to Thomas Shaji Kurian who welcomed me and my guests, and to Leo the Lion who meticulously made sure we were well settled and final Yay to Aniket, wbo attended on us with a sweet smile and his recommendations.
