Years ago I had an issue with them related to an expired item on their shelf. I stopped buying from them and posted a negative review regarding my experience with them. However, when they moved to a new location I thought they changed and decided to give the benefit of the doubt. I started buying filo pastry and fresh dates from them, but on numerous occasions I found these products were rotten and had mold on them. I discussed this with the owners and they insisted that it is not their fault. Very recently I returned moldy pastry and dates and wanted to exchange them. But the staff was very rude and arrogant, especially the young lady who accused me as a liar and showed no respect. The young man on the other hand was yelling at me through the phone and refused to understand where I was coming from. ย ย ย Read moreWe have shopped at Maihan Supermarket for 4+ years & love their Customer Service & Meats. We eat whole foods so we purchase Mince & Chicken mainly & to be honest their meats are much tastier & cheaper than the supermarkets. We also get our Fat from them & render ourselves. They have a mini supermarket & quite often we take a look around at the different foods/items they have on the shelves, as they are very different to what we are used too. They are a lovely & very welcoming family & we look forward to seeing them. Love their new premises & parking at back is easy with the entrance door right there. Yummy meats & presented well. 5 โญ๏ธ Overall for service, quality of produce/meats & hygiene, Beautiful family who certainly take good care of their customers & their...

Now I no longer have to buy a slab of 9 tins or pay courier charges from Wellington, thanks to the lady on facebook that suggested that I shop at Maihan Supermarket, Colombo street, in Sydenham. The staff were helpful and very cheery. No parking out side the shop, but easily found parking around the corner, so not far to walk to shop entrance. I noticed they sold fresh meat as well. I decided to buy 3 tins, each last a month sometimes, so will pop into the city to get some more in 3 months time again. Well done, providing with my daily...
