🍓: Seasonal menu with all locally sourced and free range ingredients. Do you see how stunning these dishes are? Yeah they tasted even better than they looked! We were absolutely blown away by the quality and taste of everything seen here. ✨️: I was so surprised when we opened the door into a lush garden area! It was such a lovely way to start our dining experience. Stunning traditional Maori kites decorate the walls, really nice soft lighting and a roaring fire to keep you cosy. Staff are lovely here and there's a beautiful clothing shop to look through after your meal.

We went a couple of weekends ago after 1pm. It was very busy. The staff were friendly and lovely. The food was lovely but we did think for the price of the apple pie piklets it was on the small side for $23.00. The super salad ($22.00) could do without the side of meat which is additional $7.00. We also had classic bennie with bacon, $18.00 with $7.00 for the bacon and karaage fried chicken with egg benedict for $29.00. We only place 3 stars for service as the food took over 30 mins from order to table. It was like they didn't have enough staff in the kitchen.

Service 0 Food 1 Coffee 3 Never seen a cafe where 70% of the tables were reserved so we had to sit outside which was fine. It started raining so we asked a staff member to open the umbrella for us in which she frowned and said ‘fk sakes’ as she was opening the umbrella. The food was average, we ordered 3 eggs benedicts and all the eggs were overcooked and little hollandaise sauce. Nothing special about the creamy mushrooms. Coffee was okay, ice was all melted with my iced americano and flat whites were very hot. Wouldn’t recommend.

I booked a table for my birthday on 20/09. I asked for preference for outdoor seating, but when we arrived, our tables were set up inside, even though the outdoor area was completely empty and remained that way for quite some time. That was fine.

We placed our coffee orders, and when the waitress came to deliver them, she said “long black,” but since we were a group of almost 10 women chatting, it wasn’t immediately clear who the coffee belonged to. As soon as I heard her announce the order, I also started helping her figure out who it was for. Suddenly, she lost her patience and just shouted “LONG BLACK” right in front of one of my friends, only a few centimeters away from her. When that same friend raised her hand saying it was hers, the waitress slammed down the little glass of water that comes with the long black so hard that some of the water spilled on the table. We were all left embarrassed and feeling really uncomfortable.

When she went back to the counter, she started commenting about what had just happened with the other waitresses, and after that, she never came back to our table again. I honestly believe that anyone working with the public should, first of all, be polite—that’s the minimum—and also have patience. The café wasn’t even that busy at the time for her to be in such a rush to drop off the coffee.

Another point is that we were charged $2.50 for each plate we used to have some cake (since it was my birthday). I left the place really disappointed with the service we received. I don’t intend to return, and if anyone asks me for a recommendation, I’ll make sure to share...

We were asked to pre order from the menu. My group of 9 ladies obliged, but weren't very happy about this as we felt that we may feel like something different from what we pre ordered, on the day. Our food arrived in no time. Two us had ordered the chicken -- it was lukewarm. My friends who had the salmon sandwiches, found the crusts on the bread so hard, that they could not cut/bite into them. As I was about to leave, I asked the lady for another booking on the 27/12. 10 guests @ 10.30 am. She told me I'd have to pre book our plated food. I mentioned that @ 10.30 am some folk would only want cabinet food. No, she would not want a booking unless we were having pre booked plated food, otherwise we would have to turn up and take a chance to see if a table was available. For goodness sake, 10 of us, with 2 arriving from Timaru, going to Untouched World and not finding a table! If that is your policy to treat customers who have just supported your eatery with 10 meals, and wanted a table for another 10 people 7 days later, turned away on such unfair terms, then forget it, I won't be...

8 of us booked in for Saturday lunch. We were well looked after with very professional staff. One thing I'm very fussy about is accoustics. 5 stars for the accoustics. Even tthough a place is busy, one should be able to hear one's conversation without competing with tables around you. Now for the food part. FANTASTIC! presented beautifully. Everyone had something different, and each person thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Here's the best part... I'm vegan. There were at least 3 things on the menu to choose from. It was a difficult choice, but I chose the smashed avocado stack and was absolutely blown away by first the presentation, then the flavours and textures. I've got to say that this is by far the most exquisite plant based meal I have ever experienced. Hats off to the chef. To vegans and plant based diners, you MUST go here for...
