We don't understand the hype of Crown Hill fish and chips! We are new in the area and decided to give them a go we ordered the $20.00 special and we enjoyed it apart from the small portion of chips, Went back a second time ordered the same thing as we liked it the first time but thought we would order an extra scoop of chips to go with the $20.00 order which was $5.00 but to our surprise the portion of chips was still small and was left wondering if they even added more chips or not, on top of that everything didn't taste the same as the first time we ordered so I guess it's just luck of the draw some days it's good some days it's average no consistency! Read moreWithout a doubt THE best fish and chips we've ever had. We were a party of 10 and everyone agrees. Large terakihi fillets, fresh and moist, in light crisp golden batter, plenty of very fresh crisp golden chips per scoop, equally nice potato fritters and sausages too. For an average of $11 a head we were all very satisfied. If it was a bit closer to where we live it would become our go-to place. As it is, whenever we're passing and need takeaways we'll use it again....
