Milford Beach Reserve — Attraction in Devonport-Takapuna

I absolutely love this beach! Nice soft sand, perfect for walking, sunbathing, and swimming.

Pleanty of free parking. It gets the sunrise and sun till about 530 in the summer evenings. Public toilets and showers in the parking lot.

Take note of the hours dogs are allowed on the beach. In summer, dogs aren't allowed between 10 am and 5 pm. Out of those hours off leash play is allowed.

We even managed to score an ice cream from the ice cream truck in the (summer) evening.

Vey nice beach along with a easily accessible reserve. There is a large playground for kids, and the facilities are all wooden, instead of the usual metallic. Kids keep engaged for a lot of activities here. There are shaded areas for a picnic or BBQ. There is a mechanically controlled footpath bridge for the traffic of the yachts. YES,had an appointment at the North shore Hospital. We bought Fish and Chips at Shakespeare fish and chips shop then drove to Milford Shore Line in North Shore town ship.Sat in the car and ate the chips and crabsticks Springrolls .Just watched the waves lapping on the shoreline so beautiful and a oiltanker in the distance boats as well.
