The city sleeps, a blanket soft and gray, As I ascend, where ancient giants lay. Rangitoto, a slumbering beast I face, A volcanic crown, a rugged, fiery grace. The path unwinds, a serpentine embrace, Through lava fields, a desolate, stark space. Black shards of rock, a testament to fire, Where molten fury once did fiercely spire. The air is crisp, the wind begins to bite, As I climb higher, bathed in morning light. The city wakes, a tapestry of hues, A vibrant canvas, where the harbor views. Each step a struggle, muscles start to strain, But onward I press, defying wind and rain. The summit nears, the goal within my sight, A sense of triumph, banishing the night. I reach the peak, a breathtaking display, The city sprawls below, a vibrant array. The Hauraki Gulf, a shimmering, sapphire sheen, A panorama vast, a wondrous, awe-inspiring scene. The wind whips past, a symphony of sound, As I stand victorious, on sacred ground. Rangitoto's summit, a crown upon the land, A testament to nature's powerful hand. The descent begins, a weary, slow retreat, But memories linger, bittersweet. The climb, the struggle, the ultimate reward, A connection forged, with nature's accord. So let us climb, these volcanic peaks so grand, And feel the spirit of this wondrous land. For in their shadows, stories softly lie, Of ancient forces, reaching...
Read moreThis McDonald's in Belmont offers a bit of a mixed bag. On the plus side, the crew members were notably friendly, which always makes a difference. A real bonus for parents is the kids' play area, allowing adults a chance to enjoy their meal while the children are occupied. The ordering and serving process was smooth and efficient during my visit.
However, there are a few drawbacks. Compared to other McDonald's locations in Auckland, this one is quite small, and consequently, parking is limited. Finding the entrance can also be confusing; the signage isn't very clear, and it's easy to accidentally try entering through the exit if you're not paying close attention.
Another area for improvement is table cleanliness. On this occasion, tables weren't cleared promptly after customers left, meaning leftover cups and tissues remained when new customers were looking for a seat. Finally, be aware that exiting the location can be challenging during busy traffic times, potentially adding a bit of delay to your journey.
Overall, while the friendly staff, play area, and efficient service are positives, the small size, parking limitations, confusing entry, cleanliness issues, and tricky exit detract from the experience. It's decent for a quick bite, especially if you have kids, but be mindful of the potential...
Read moreWorst coffee experience I ever had. Bought a mocha today in the morning around 9:00 am. Coffee was cold as I am drinking a cold coffee and did not taste like mocha at all. Anyway I finished my coffee and noticed all the chocolate was sitting at the bottom of the cup. I had no intention to go back and complain but on the way back my son wanted a hot chocolate. So I asked to speak to the manger and was introduced to a guy called Chris. Instead of accepting his mistake he started giving excuses like it was made by a trainee and you as a customer needs to understand I have to look after so many things not just a coffee. Which made me a little bit upset. I told him instead of accepting your mistake you are giving me all these excuses I just need an apology for not getting what I paid for. And in response he threatend me to stay here and I am gonna call the cops. What a worst...
