Curry Leaf Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in Franklin

Wish I could give negative 5 stars. Worst Indian restaurant i have ever been to. We ordered one and a half tandoori chicken, 1 chicken vindaloo, 2 garlic Naan and a mixed plater that was supposed to have some sauces and a mixed salad. The only good thing out of that was the tandoori chicken and naan. I ordered a extra hot vindaloo but the first one they served didn't look like the dish served at any other Indian restaurant including their Onehunga or Kumue restaurant as I frequently travel and eat at various restaurants and my husband always orders the same dish. They apologized and replaced the dish with a "Indian spicy" dish which was okay to eat for 2 bites but after that the insides of our mouth was burning from the excessive Chilli 🌶 powder. We couldn't taste q thing after that. The whole time we could see the smug look on these the waiter and managers faces that they were enjoying our discomfort after making make another dish for us. Never going back to that restaurant and we visit Pukekhoe at least once...

I ordered curry leaf on delivery easy, waited for an hour to find out that our food had been delivered to the wrong address! I called the restaurant twice but they didn't give me any update. The guy that I spoke to on the phone sounded like he didn't wanna deal with the problem, so instead of him handling it, he gave me a number which I believe is from delivery easy services, he told me to call them because they can help me! Which they did btw. Anyways I don't know how she didn't deliver it to the right address as there was a map once you have placed an order, (to make sure this is the right address) which is correct and I'm sure she was using the gps AND I also left an instruction that leads to my house! But I do not know why she didn't bother calling me if she was lost. Thats why we put our phone numbers down right?...

Ordered here on Monday, Auckland anniversary, and was very disappointed. There is a large sign advertising prices which they did not honor, due to the public holiday. This is understandable but would have liked to be told. The service was bad, boring and not what I expected. The food itself was the worst part. The rice was mushy and had no flavour, some restaurants use cumin seeds, which can give a nice aroma to the rice. I was very upset because I can make better rice at home in the microwave. The curry (I had a medium hot vindaloo) was bland and flavorless. There was nothing nice about it. The naan was old and had gone hard and crispy. If I had eaten in store, I would have asked for my money back and gone elsewhere. Very upset especially for the price I paid. Will not...
