Yakety Yak — Restaurant in Franklin

I recently visited Yakety Yak for breakfast with a friend, and I’m pleased to share my experience.

I opted for the classic hash brown with eggs and bacon, and I must say, it was a delightful choice. The dish was nicely presented, with each component cooked to perfection. The hash browns were crispy, the bacon was just the right amount of crispy, and the eggs were done exactly to my liking. The presentation added to the overall appeal of the meal, making it not just tasty but also visually pleasing.

For my drink, I had a mocha, which was also well-executed. It came beautifully presented with a nice balance of coffee and chocolate flavors. It was clear that attention was paid to the details, both in the preparation and the presentation.

The service at Yakety Yak deserves a mention as well. The attendant was friendly and always wore a smile, adding a warm touch to the experience. Their positive attitude contributed to a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.

I heard a few mixed reviews from people regarding Yakety Yak, but i decided that i'd make up my mind, myself. They have a great little spot right in town, with glass walls that really let in the natural light. The atmosphere was good, and staff relatively friendly.

The food.... I ordered the french toast, and my friend ordered something else. I took a photo of the amazing looking french toast stack and dug in. It was delicious. The only thing that wasn't delicious, was the long strand of hair i had to pull out of my mouth. Now, i don't usually write these sorts of things online, and in such detail. The only reason i am is because i felt like i wasn't offered anything for this experience, other than a re-do of my food. Which, thank you, was great, but working in retail/a customer based business, i felt like that wasn't really good enough. No compensation, not even a sorry when i went to pay. Really, really disappointing.

I haven't been back since. I do hope this was a one-off, and by all means, please go and try Yakety Yak, but lets hope the staff do a lot better in the future, as i know,...

I went there today with a friend for lunch. The food was not bad and what you would expect at a nice brunch/lunch restaurant. The reason for my low stars though was the staff, the lady behind the counter ( brownish hair with a mole on her lip) whom I assume is the manager was just an outright rude person, not to the customers but to a staff member. I would hate to work with someone who thinks it’s okay to throw a docket in my face when asked to clarify what table a coffee order was for. Or yells loudly did you read the docket! Not sure if she realises her voice travels in the small space but I was tempted to get up and leave and would have if our food already hadn’t been ordered. Her behaviour was enough to put me off returning again! Someone really needs to teach her...
