The Bakehouse Cafe, Roasts & Grills — Restaurant in Hamilton

Today 4th march 2025 at around lunch time I brought one mince an cheese pie 🥧 I shared it with my daughter she's 3 Years old and 20min later I've got diarrhea and she's spewing it all out not once but three times I have rung in this afternoon to complain I was assured it was freshly baked. This is all she ate so it can't be anything else. I'm mad an disappointed this was one of my Favourite bakerys for the mince & Cheese pie only so I won't be back.

Update went to the doctors and was confirmed food poisoning high possibility it was the cheese. Just be careful make sure the pies are freshly made an not reheated from the days...

Rude staff, spent $140 and got argued and yelled with us when they got one of the drinks in our order wrong and we asked them to change it.. after I tried to calmly offer them advice maybe not to argue with customers I got laughed at in my face by the young guy behind the counter, while still being argued with for a second time by the same chick! One of the older ladies gave us our money back when we were so turned off by the experience we weren't even hungry anymore. Even some of the other customers tried to stick up for us but they were argued with too.. can't believe...

The pork rolls and roast meals here are delicious, my whānau and I love coming in for them. All cabinet food is standard and convenient. The service is top tier, lovely staff. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is the pies. They’re not terrible, but both the filling and the pastry could be improved.
