Apart from being my favourite coffee haunt during the day, we tried dinner at Jack's last night. It is open for dinner Thursday-Saturday nights. The food was excellent. The number of options is not huge but it's good food well cooked. The wine list is not extensive but is big enough. I had the chicken breast on cous cous with asparagus. It was delicious. Chicken cooked perfectly and the cous cous was spiced beautifully and didn't overpower the chicken. In fact it was the best cous cous ever.

My husband said the pork belly was fantastic and falling off the fork tender. The skin wasn't crackly, but soft and he said delicious. I couldn't resist the affogato for dessert. It was really good. It had a layer of ginger crumbs in the bottom with a ball of ice cream with a shot of the best espresso in town. Totally delicious and the ginger crumb offered an interesting extra texture. Unfortunately I was still wandering round the house at 2.30 because I couldn't sleep!

Price is good and the menu offer various small plates as well. I predict as summer gets closer and the menu gets larger this will be one very popular spot for a tasty evening meal. The staff are great, but if you go to Jacks for coffee during the day you'll...

If i could give it 0 stars I would. This place is mortifying, their food quality is disgusting. When i advised the server beforehand that we were vegetarian they brought our food with bacon and when i told them they eyerolled and made a annoyed face they served no pleasantries. They came back out with the same plate of food but with the bacon removed? there was so much disrespect and couldn't listen to simple instructions. The pancakes weren't even good they were stale and hard. We also brought a 6 doller coffee but it was overloaded with milk and bitterness. The whole place was swarming with flies and even saw a baby cockroach. When we told them we were disappointed all they said was 'sorry'. I really don't get why this place is so popular, safe to say we are not visiting this place ever again. Also when we asked for the owner they said he was not available and was overseas which is...

If zero star was an option I would seriously consider giving that as a review (your barista and cook are the only reason a star could even be earnt) The best words to describe our visit is dirty and poorly organised. No welcoming. No service. All 6 menus we had to retrieve ourselves were filthy and terribly sticky. When we notified the senior staff member about she informed us they dont have time to wipe them. Table next to us had a salad delivered, eaten and plate cleared before the other 3 patrons of their table were even served. Our cutlery had food baked on. Condiment tray also filthy. Soup delivered without a spoon and no spoon in table cutlery dispenser. Only the barista seemed to know the table numbers as the other 2 staff (including the senior) tried to bring us other tables orders.

Over all very very poor experience guys all these errors are simply fixable by a...

Food, prices, staff, people when it's great!! There's not alot left to say!! My son and I been there twice the first time we arrived my son left his sunglasses behind or was it his hat? and the female staff went out of her way to return it to us finding us a little further down the path. ♥️ The second time we visited, it was packed out and the vibe from the all the people was like a good ole honest celebration. My son had the seafood chowder had I had the big breakfast. My son was full from eating it and those who know me know me well when I'm happy I EAT 😃 so cleaned my plate and what my son couldn't finish. And the coffee with the heart 💓 shape was perfect to a T.

Jacks is one of our main stops for brunch when the mood hits. It’s great for a family group with something for most of us. The fussy one usually gets a hot chocolate and something from the cabinet. It’s good for the after school debrief too, when it’s teacher conference time or exams. They do a good coffee, have a fantastic selection of smoothies and the food is really filling and well priced. We had a birthday party here recently and they let us bring a cake in which was good. The style of the place is eclectic and fun. Staff are friendly.

I had never been here before, but I found it to be a nice, little cafe, with very friendly, and helpful staff. It was good that you could use outdoor tables, for larger groups of people. I bought a flat white coffee, and a sultana scone, which tasted okay, but weren't any different from any other cafe, I had been to. I would go back if I was visiting that part of Hamilton again.
