I should admit that the food was great! It was our 2nd time to et tu. But service was terrible to the core. The lady who took the order was so restless. She couldn't even wait to take the complete order. Once we ordered we called her again to order a starter. She quickly took the order and we got the starter. It was a platter. Once we are done. We were waiting for the mains. She came and asked do you want any dessert. We were shocked and said we were waiting for the mains. She said u only ordered only starter!!!!!! And asked us do you need the mains as well. We said ofcourse yes. You have to be pleasant and listen to what the customer exactly wants. I would never ever go again. The 2 star is for the chef who gave us a tasty food. Else it would have a terrible weekend experience! I would highly recommend anyone to order a takeaway if u really want to taste the food here else pls avoid and save your money where it is worth!!! One more thing i forgot. I have a 2 year old. She was given a colour pencil and she was just holding it against the table. We didnt notice that as we were reading the menu..That lady with a serious face said. Can you please ask your child not to write anything on the table?????? What the heck. It was not a paint.. it was just a pencil which could have been easily wiped even if she has written anything. You should seriously learn how to deal with a...
Read moreI have eaten here many times, it was one of my favourite places but I am finally over Et Tu and won’t be back. Something is badly amiss in the way they either order supplies, plan or manage this restaurant. I can understand, on a rare occasion, a restaurant running out of something, but this happens all the time at Et Tu. It has become a running joke Each time we’ve gone there - “I wonder what they’re out of tonight”. We have NEVER eaten there that the waitress hasn’t presented us with the Specials, followed by a list of what they’re haven’t got. This last time was the final straw. Father’s Day, beginning of evening service, reservation- “Sorry, but we’re out of Pork Belly and all the pasta dishes apart from the gnocchi.” Don’t you have a chef, some eggs, some flour? make some bloody pasta. No pork belly at 6.30 pm on Fathers Day, a favourite dish of many blokes! To add insult to injury the table next to us was hoeing in to four servings of the very same pork belly, obviously ordered before they ran out. So my husband missed out on the pork belly he’d looked forward to all day, my daughter missed out on the pasta she’d planned on, another of our party ordered the duck (very small, skimpy portion). A totally disappointing visit. We’ll look for a new favourite restaurant now, one that can actually front up with the menu it presents...
