This place has great potential but unfortunately was quite disappointed on the day we visited. I carefully choose this cafe for my birthday brunch with family as it was child friendly and has a play area which is important to me when trying to eat out with a toddler. I booked in advance for 11 people and specifically requested an outside table near the playground so I could watch my daughter play while also enjoying brunch. One of the bench seats at our table was rotting/being eaten by something and had chunks missing out of it. The play area wasn't much better, the gate was broken, the 4 bikes were all broken and unusable/unsafe with bent/broken and missing wheels. There was no signage or notices for parents to supervise their children while playing and with 5 big kids playing rough and swinging/throwing things around unsupervised it ended up being too dangerous for the two toddlers in there and I pulled my daughter out after the other toddler was kicked in the head by one the big kids. The service was slow and we were at our table 20 minutes before someone came to take orders and only then did they tell us they were very short staffed that day while all the tables were still being filled up. Once our food and drink orders had been taken it was another 40 minutes before some of our food and drinks started to come out, it didn't all arrive together was spread out over about 15 minutes so some of us were eating/drinking and some were not, my drink didn't show up until after most of the table had finished. The saving grace for us though was that the food was quite good, only change we would make is skipping the side of bacon for $6 as it was a single...

Please train your staff better. It is never a good experience when you are told a price by the server and when you go to pay the final price it doesn’t match. After explaining to the cashier, I got an apology. Cool, but that didn’t stop me leaving feeling bitter.

Thanks for responding. I agree that you won’t find a whole avocado as a side for $1.50 anywhere in NZ, but when asked if you would like some avocado with your $24 eggs Benedict and without the knowledge how much avocado you will receive it is perfectly reasonable to expect a few slices of avocado for a $1.50. I also certainly can see how a dollar fifty could sound like eight dollar fifty. I appreciate you pointing out that the menu has the $8 avocado in the sides section, I also saw that, hence why I wanted to clarify with the server if that was the cost of adding the avocado to the meal or if it was a seperate deal, and when the answer I received is “a or eight dollar 50” yes I would think it’s a seperate cost to the menu price.

Seeing your response highlighted the “cost of avocados in cafes around nz” and the “price is on the menu” I felt the need to clarify my reading abilities and how that wasn’t the issue. In the end I don’t care about the 7$ difference, I care about the miscommunication and how it...

I went in for breakfast and there were a lot of people sitting outside. I chose to also sit outside with my family as we had our niece playing on the playground so it was easier to supervise. There was rain the night before, so some of the seating was wet. My sister asked the woman at the front if she had a cloth or sponge so we could dry the seats and she said with the most annoyed tone “this is why we don’t like people sitting outside”! Clearly there were a lot of people outside already and if the seating was off limits there should have been a sign to say so. The lady said they only had blankets to offer so my sister took the blanket to sit on. The lady then proceeded to come up to us in a mood saying “THAT IS NOT FOR SITTING ON AND NOW THE BLANKET IS SATURATED”. We then explained there was no cloth so we had to sit on the blanket. She took it from us, and then we decided to leave as we didn’t feel right eating a place with such poor service. On our way out she came to us saying “I have a cloth now”. By then it was too little too late. I won’t be back here again, this was some of the worst service I have ever experienced in west Auckland. I would not recommend this place which is a shame, the food...

"Delicious" is an overstatement. Ordered 2 breakfasts and hotcakes between two people, which came to $80 plus (including coffee). The breakfasts were both on the small side (rosti was more of a medallion, small sausages, small pieces of bacon) and hotcakes were not 'hot' at all. Beautifully plated lukewarm cakes are what we received. I asked for extra butter as the breakfast came with barely enough butter for one piece of toast (came with two large pieces of toast-everything else on the plate was on the small size) and was told extra butter was going to cost extra. Paying $25 for a very mediocre breakfast and then getting told butter would cost extra was extremely stingy, especially when what I asked for wasn't extra but just enough for the two pieces of toast they gave me. This was my second time here, the first time I ordered eggs bene and the eggs were so overcooked but I decided to give them another try as I was told their normal chef had called in sick that day. Two disappointing visits here for me. I really wanted to like this place but the stinginess truly soured my experience.

I'm a frequent visitor to this Cafe, and it never disappoints! The food is consistently delicious, whether it's morning coffee with Breakfast or afternoon Lunch. The addition of Sheesha nights has been a brilliant move, adding a new dimension to the already cozy ambiance. The staff here deserves special praise for their friendliness and efficiency. But what truly sets this cafe apart is their remarkable bar! As a fan of good drinks, I'm thrilled by the diverse selection they offer. From classic favourites to unique concoctions, their drinks never fail to impress. Don't miss the chance to enjoy their delightful food, Sheesha nights, and of course, the fantastic bar! Prepare to be delighted. 🍹🍽️😊
